36 minutes in one position gives roughly 50% of full training in one position training. I very much doubt that 48+ would five more rhen rhat in three position training.

At which point it then comes down to the other players involved - if the question is about the third trainee but the two main ones got 48+ and the guys playing the other two positions are old and wouldn't benefit from training, it's definitely the one position. If for some reason there are a bunch of trainable guys at all three positions who would all benefit from the training and the 1 position minutes for everyone are screwed up (and two position isn't a better option) I could see the case for three positioning. I think in most cases two positioning should be the fallback from one, though .

I believe you are WAY off concerning 36 minutes and pct of training
From training website: Half of what you say:
From Player of mine, I copy and paste
(36 mins), +0.24 (of 1)

ID Training let's say for 6' 6" 20 yr old C
1 man training 43% of pop
2 man training 32% of pop
3 man training 24% of pop

3 man looks better than 50% snd thus at least twice as good as 36 minutes for 1 position training
Though you get less in the secondary skill dep't

This is just my theory on training, but I've been thinking the percentage of 48 minutes is squared and this is how much of the training is received for a player who hasn't reached 48 minutes. For example:

36/48 = 75%
75%*75% = 56.25%

Therefor a player with 36 minute would get 56.25%

This is just a theory, but it seems to have worked so far for players of mine who have gotten partial training. I have used it to make tough decisions when my minutes have been messed up. Anyone have thoughts on this?

The training site has examined thousands of player trainings
Theirs is hard evidence as opposed to theory
my bet is that the 25% they have is a lot closer to the truth than your theory
Each minute you miss, the more powerful the punishment
47 M =90
46 M =81
45 M =72
44 M =65
43 M =58
until you get to
36 M =24

I would consider teamtraining, stamina or FT if my main TO only got 48mins+ at 3 position training or 36 at 1 position.
