I am not just sure i got it right : does it apply if (and only if) fewer than 3 players (0,1 or 2) are selected for a game ?

Thx

Yeah, I also think that a bit more info would be useful here...

This applies only to setting lineups (i.e. which players will be active for the game) and not to filling out the depth chart, correct?

Is the "empty lineup" prevention related to:
1. Eliminating walkovers due to less than 3 available players
2. Preventing blank lineups / partial blank lineups where sufficient numbers of players are dressed, but the depth chart is left empty or partially empty
3. Both 1 and 2?

I certainly wouldn't want to test #1 if it's actually #2, for example.

And as for testing: I attempted to set a lineup for my upcoming friendly with 0 players dressed and got an error:
The Tactics page has encountered an error. Please reload this page from your team's Schedule page.

I was able to set a lineup with only one player dressed, however, both with a healthy player and with my injured player.

Likewise, I was able to set a 12 man blank lineup with no problem and no players selected for the depth chart.

According to the news post, it would automatically fill the depth chart, and had the same effect as if you did it by yourself.

i see, so it doesn't make any difference from the current ones.

So is it 1 or 2?

While I like preventing walk overs, I would hate to see what would happen to gameshapes if the best players were always picked, but I suppose that's the price for forgetting to set a lineup.

I think preventing walkovers is the key...

With changes in lineups and new teams, etc. This happens quite frequently. Its a good change.

I don't think it prevents team from running the dress 3 guys only strategy. However, it probably should IMO. Having 5 players should be required for any team.

I mean if a team only has 4 players on their team, then yes they should forfeit the game. This I will set three players in the lineup in order to lose the game stuff is kinda goofy and throws off training for the other team because of foul outs against lucky fans.
