yeah but his salary is 1k and is selling at 400k? does that makes sense this wont happen in real life tim tebow was traded to the jets and all the broncos got is 10mill tebow is one of the richest quarterbacks as a rookie he got more money because they haciked his contract before his rookie contract ended. However I do realize that mvp sells alot quicker but it shouldnt be almost half a mill. I think thats to much unless people got the money on them

Search 18 y/o MVP in the Transfer List and follow the bidding to the end and see what the prices go to. His starting salary has nothing to do with his age/height/potential combination. If his salary was $3000 or $4000 do you realize he would go for probably $2,000,000?

welll it looks like im still learning about bb everyday even to this point although I was looking for cheap salary to fill out my lineup today to make my lineup 14 on both teams so injury wont take effect. Yes I do realize he may sell for 2mill does that happen actually? because of his skill and potential thats what makes his bid so expensive?

I do feel that people overpay for potential, but do take a look at the other 11 players who are 20 or younger, 7'0" or taller and have at least MVP potential on the transfer market. He's pretty much in the middle of the pack in terms of what is being asked or currently being bid. Just the fact that there are only 12 such players on the market tells you part of the reason for the high price.

but that doesnt make him valuable if there are 12 or 20 guys on the market doesnt matter what matter is that if there was one of his type on the transfer market then his value would increase tremondusly. I just dont see how he gets 400k in profit for basically nothing of a player whose not even ready to play in regular season yet

Supply always impacts value in an open market. Here there is a very low supply of tall players who are young and have high potential. If someone wants to train an elite big man, they are going to have to pay the market price, which is going to be increased as a result of the limited supply.
Yes, there is some luck (not necessarily all luck though, depending on how one uses draft scouting points) in getting a young player with great potential (and the right height), but that too is part of the game.
If you don't think a player is worth the price, don't bid on him. Realistically, I wouldn't advise people to bid on MVP potential players unless they really have a solid understanding of how training works and have a clear plan for how they intend to train the player they are bidding on. MVP and higher potential players are not someone you go searching for on the transfer market if you are simply looking for a low salary guy to plug into your team.

you can probably cut that number by 15% just making a number up whose have a set team and have team field already and is homegrown and doesnt look into the transfer market but rather save money by going into the draft.
