Making the most of our effort and GDP, the USA played Inside Isolation and correctly guessed Inside on Italy, while receiving an incorrect guess from them. The SG/SF combo of Stephen Stearns and Bob Chavarria guided us to victory as they combined to hit 7 threes and 39 points (Along with Stearns having a double double with 11 assists and 17 points). This win propelled us into the finals game and an eventual Worlds Gold medal.
season 29:
Italy (1) v USA (3) Finals matchup-

Once again this season, we were the underdogs against Italy and once again we made use of Italy's predictable play, guessing inside correctly on them while we switched it up and played PtB for an incorrect guess from them. This game was all about Stewart Tripp though. Arguably the best USA U21 NT player ever, Stewart Tripp shot 10-16 (1-1 from three and 6-8 from the FT line) and dropped 27 on the Italians, while adding 5 rebounds, 2 assists and excellent defensive play. Roland Shell and Wesley Starnes also supported the attack putting up 12 points and 16 points respectfully and the USA held on for dear life to the victory as Italy edged their way closer in the final minutes. USA once again came away with Worlds Gold!
