At a first reading your idea seems like a very effective counter to farming. The game needs this. Good idea!

Of course, since the game is a training game and not a basketball game any more, don't expect it to happen.

I don't think so. You can train great 120-125 tsp players with trainer level 4 that could play even at the best teams in the world:

etc.

And with level 5 you can train 130-140 tsp NT players that can be sold for over 4m. The only thing you probably couldn't do is train 140+ tsp monsters, and I don't think lower league teams should feel a need to train those, unless they are farm teams.

If trainer level 4 is not enough for DIV and DV teams, than why do we even have them?

NT builds should have 140 TSP and/or salary over 200k.

140 TSP guys will become a thing of the past very soon, as the teams willing to commit to those marathon training plans will become less and less.

Not arguing on the salary though - a 140+ TSP guy with less than 100k salary is ridiculous and shows some serious flaws in the salary formula.

This is from my own experience:
19yo HOF, 50tsp
First season trained with lvl 4 on 2 positions.
Next 4 seasons with lvl 4 on 1 position.
Next 5 seasons with lvl 5 on 1 position.
At 29yo he looked like this: (http://i.imgur.com/JqYJSo8.png)
Even though he lost 22 trainings because of injuries & GS training.

If he was 18yo and didn't miss training he could have ended up with 130+ tsp, probably even more if I trained him 1vs1 more, instead of some other skills.
He also played 69 games for Serbian NT.

My current trainee (134tsp): (26562677) will have between 135-138 tsp (I'll train him next season too) even though he was pretty average at the time I brought him, and I trained him most of the time with lvl 5 trainer. And he also missed 10-12 training due to injuries/GS/ST.

Those are just 2 examples, as a scout for our NT I've witnessed great progress among young players with lvl 4 trainer.

I believe that it's perfectly fine for new managers to start their training with lvl 4 trainer, than when they reach D3 they could replace him with lvl 5. With a good trainee they could build fantastic players that would play 30+ minutes even at the best bbb teams.

Inferior builds? A similar (but worse, only 118 tsp) build to the ones that I mentioned played 44min at the last bbb final, and won.
I agree that most of them are not worthy of a NT, I already said that you shouldn't expect to train a NT player with lvl 4 trainer, even though it's possible for most nations.

NT builds should have 140 TSP and/or salary over 200k.

I completely agree with the salary part, but that's a different topic.
Not all NT players have 140+ tsp. Serbia won the last EC and the average tsp of our current 15 players is 133-134. In the final against Finland (33956) our centers had 123 & 118 tsp.

This guy is a perfect example why the current training speed it too slow - dude can't reach his potential until his 30ies. Thats like 2,5 years of training only to use the guy in his prime for one season before his decline starts.
