A while ago Marin changed the draft to make the 19yo players more skilled so now there are a lot more 5 ball 19 year olds. I think a good idea would be to have the initial scouting also give us the player's age in addition to his ball rating. This could help managers sort through all the 5 ball prospects.

I'd rather pay more points and uncover the potential first tbh. Or at least pay 10 points, to have the grey balls change into a reasonably accurate representation of the player (e.g. a reworked 5 ball cannot end up being a 1-3 ball player).

The other thing they can do is change the salary values that the balls correspond to. In any case, for many users Potential>>>>>>>Initial salary, so unfortunately when I scout I do scout even the lower end of the spectrum for 18yo and for 19yo with perfect or near perfect height. Anything that would uncover potential for multiple players would be gravy.

What about chaning what 5 balls represent? Instead of the salary, they could represent total ammount of SoS, for example?
