The Serbian who won multiple titles also had one of the lowest payrolls among teams that made the KO phase. Buying titles has always been done, note that american dude who was prraching how to play the game and had a 900k payroll. Not sure what the interest in doing that would be, I just don't understand how someone would enjoy something so boring.
Also don't forget that Darkonza has always been adept at fleecing new users by daytrading draftees and made millions that way so he could afford higher salaries and roll his high value players. As far as I know Darkonako did not (at least not on that scale), so you may want to review your line of thinking on the 2 of them.
