8th is an automatic demotion. Your next best hope is getting 7th and winning the relegation series against the 5th seed from the opposite division.
The cheapest way to attempt this though is also the riskiest. You could buy old, highly skilled guys off the transfer list that have the potential to win 3 of your remaining games to get into the 7th seed AND win the relegation series. However, you would lose money every week due to their salary and if you still get relegated, you'll be in a bigger hole than you are in now.
Your best bet is to start thinking of how your roster is going to look next season in d4. The TV revenue will be less and you might have to cut a player or two to maximize your revenue next season.
