Sadly that was the wrong answer, relegation teams dont pay salary going into 3rd game

Players are only paid in weeks when you have a competitive league game.

It was the right answer according to the Game Manual, maybe you have inside info though B)

I guess its looked at differently, because getting to 3rd relegation game would be a disaster for those teams. Friend of mine didnt pay salary for this week and it happened before, but I had vague memory of it

That's the thing with relegation, you playing to survive. If you don't wanna pay salaries one more week you can lose with 2 and get relegated. Basically same thing for 8 place teams who won't have any games couple of weeks but they play lower entire next season with less income.
A problem here is for teams who finish 3-4 place, mostly of them lose first playoff game and get only 50% of one game, so many teams prefer to stay on 5th and take 2 wins.
There should be one time TV money for all playoff teams, as a new playoff TV contract or how ever we should call it 😉
