Make use of the fact he has low SB: do not touch SB ever for him and train ID only after it's a fair amount behind IS (which means training it after IS and RB, generally speaking). Training speed considerations come after cap consideration in this case, since he's only a superstar potential. Punt SB and be methodical about it.

And yeah, I wouldn't hold my hopes up for U21, he should be a yeah younger with 62 TSP, but it doesn't mean you cannot make him into a good player that can start for you in D2 and maybe D1, if you keep JS and SB under control.

Was just asking for other opinions, the NT coach told me he has a shot at NT if I start on ID but he told me he could potentially still make U21. Thing is he is a 7’0 PG, I was thinking of making him into a point forward or stretch four

I don't see a superstar getting in the NT at a big man slot in any nation other than micronations. PF will have too low TSP (SF same problem, plus he's too tall) and C will cap much earlier than other players with better potential. U21, yes of course but you'd want to be around 60 right now but one year younger. For the NT he will also compete against all sorts of lower potential players with high initial TSP count.

Your best bet is as I said: train the guy to an efficient 120-ish TSP. 'Point forward' should work as long as you are not too picky about his OD and make sure you control JS punt his SB (keeps salary low and cap space open). This is kind of a best case for that player in my eyes: https://i.imgur.com/m6eiWpg.png (with a choice of 48 skills in IS-ID-RB, 17-17-14 or 17-16-15 etc.). It's a nice player, but from a foreign nation I don't know if it's worth the investment.

It depends what the skills are. I trained a 136 TSP superstar who did play a couple of seasons in the NT as a backup, but it's just unrealistic to expect a superstar to feature heavily in that sort of setting. That player was born with mid 60 TSP (19yo) with pretty much ideal skills. I gave up training when he was 27 because he was capped and while I'm pretty confident he could reach 140 through the cap, it just wasn't worth it, especially considering there were better players available to the NT. I also could have got more skills by keeping his PA a bit lower.
