I couldn’t get behind this one. It’s pointless and they don’t hurt anything by being a part of the game. It’s not slavery, as any man would love to get paid to sit on a pro bench, even if they were 70 years old. 😁

I know professional Olympic runner-up players who, at the age of 70, cannot play basketball even with friends because for them that has nothing to do with the sport they love. They can dribble and shoot baskets but that is not playing basketball.
I highly doubt that M.Jordan, at 61, would agree to charge $200 to sit on the Bulls bench. Unless I can still kill it from the free throw line. In that case I would ask to charge much more.

It’s asking for a change for the sake of making a change. It doesn’t impact anything at all, and it has been this way since the start of BB. All other things aside, salaries in BB aren’t real, or anywhere close to being realistic. The fact that old guys make $200 a week doesn’t matter. If there were 5 levels of Pro Basketball, like BB, at least 2 of them would be senior level leagues. If someone had a roster of ten 70 year old players, they would be in D5. That is pretty realistic to me.
