Yes, I'm hoping that by solidifying a starting lineup & backups rather than rotating for minutes, I can improve my Star Players fan survey question as well, maybe improve my merch some, and do better in MVP voting etc.

And in my experience, the "did well in the cup" question is both not that big of a component of the overall fan survey and is more forgiving for lower division teams than for NBBA and d2 teams.

Winning your TV and rival games is, in my experience, a much larger portion of the fan survey than anything else, and then overall standing in your league is a close second. Most everything else seems to be more decorative than effective for fan survey.

I preferred to leave the cup early last season (3rd round) because the draw was a bit complicated. This allowed me to concentrate on the championship. I think that's one of the reasons why I managed to get 2 promotions in a row.
