Offensive rebounding is a function of the comparitive rebounding abilities of your team and your opponents. If your forwards and center are poor at rebounding - have a low skill - then your opponents players, if they are better rebounders, will get lots of offensive rebounds. So if you want to get more rebounds of any type, either train your PFs and Cs in rebounding, or buy players with better rebounding skill.

The problem with 3 point shooting is more subtle. The number of threes your team attempts is dependent on the type of offense you run: use motion or Run and Gun or Princeton, you will take lots of threes. However, the player taking the shot needs to have good jump shot and good jump range to have a chance of making the shot, and the experience to know when to take the shot or not. If you don't want your team to take three point shots, choose Look Inside or Low Post.
