Is there a reason as to why positive balances dont get interest?

Do the BB's think this will have a negative impact on the economy?

I'm not sure.

I'm guessing here, but it might be that they don't want to encourage managers to keep (too much) money in their bank (for too long).

Or they just don't find it interesting enough to program it...

Honestly, I think its a good thing. Right now the BuzzerBeater economy is pretty simple -- which makes it more transparent from a game management point of view. Look at some of the issues that HT has had....simple is better.
