See cutting salaries thread here:) I would suggest free throws (or stamina) and wait with training main attributes after you got your draftees. You should consider firing worse players (below 3k generally) to save some money. Now you can't get players for relegation games so you will have to play with what you have. I don't how many human players are in lower divisions will be in the offseason but you probably can't count on bot clearup to save you from relegation.
So scout your opponent and prepare fro the series. Even if you relegate nothing is lost, you will probably dominate the fifth division and have a year to prepare for come back (including a bonus for promotion).
