Hey, I know this question has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find it. I'm new to the game, and I don't know how you can balance out the minutes of all your players? Do you pick "follow the depth chart" and the players would get equal shares of minutes?

No. Minutes depend on multiple factors such as foul trouble, game score, and how good your backups are -- so there's no exact science for that . By selecting Strictly Follow Depth chart, however, you can expect that barring foul trouble or a win by 20+ points, your starters will get ~36 minutes, and their backups ~12, give or take several minutes.
