i think as much as we want to add more delight on the ASW

but how are we going to brake down a dunking contest? i dont see that in skill specifically so does it connect with inside shot?

aside from it how do we grade this? JR? to see if one player jumps higher?

im curious at this

Me too.
ASW is great but we should also have a rookie and sophmore game for each league. That is a very simple start.

Ya, let's add a dunking contest. maybe the players with the best Jump Range. Also make sure all of the contestants are black.

And for the sophmore vs. rookie game, that should be simple and I think it should be added. But then again it might get confusing because what if some of the rookies and sophmores are voted to the main all star game. That would be difficult to figure out.

Jump Range has absolutely nothing to do with how far players can jump... Check the Nomenclature section of the rules for details.

Dude, JR is how high players can jump. That's the closest thing we have to determine the dunk contest by. Can Dwight Howard jump far? No. Can Dwight Howard jump high? Yes.

I hope you understand now. :)

No, it isn't. It determines how the efficiency of a player's jump shot decreases with distance. Very roughly speaking, you can say it has to do with how well players shoot three-pointers.

What do you think is meant by "a player's jump shot decreases with distance"?

It actually says that the effectiveness of a player's jump shot increases with distance.

Which means exactly what it is: the further the player is from the basket, the more ineffective he is shooting.

You do know what a jump shot is, right? (hint: it is not a dunk)

Exactly, so if a player is further from the basket his shooting is more ineffective. Therefor if a player has a higher JR, his jump brings him closer to the net.

So that means he can jump. That's the point. You know that dunkers also jump to shoot, right?
