ok, thanks,

Is there a rule of thumb for the arena size that suits a 9-level PR-Manager?
after the current expansion i will have 6460 seats.

This is useful information.

When would it pay for a win one, lose one type of new team, (mine) to upgrade the PR guy? Right now, I'm being offered a 9 at 20k per week, which seems a bad move. But a 6 or less? Would he improve the revenue (tickets and merchandise) more than the 11k or so he'd cost?

I'm not aware of any extensive studies on this. But, IMO, if your attendance is (on average), increasing from home game to home game, I wouldn't bother upgrading too much. (The old, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," mentality.)

Winning is the best way to increase attendance and merchandise revenue. A good PR man is a distant second to that. For newer teams, I would only recommend a high level PR man if they have plateaued. Something in the middle (lvl 4-6), might not be bad though...

I didn't consider the upgrade to increase the crowd revenue, as I'm sold out every game at my current arena size.

I thought he's the main factor affecting the merchandise revenue. after all, if he would increase my merchandise revenue by 13K it worth the upgrade.

thanks for your clarification

You might try increasing ticket prices a bit (now is a good time...the new prices will take effect on the 1st of the month). I'm not sure how much the PR man will affect your merchandise revenue. If you have the money, it might be worth it.
