No...the problem is people thinking paying huge amounts of money for higher trainers will make huge diffrence in training, its not problem of the game.i still "laugh" at people paying millions for 6-7 level trainers, not so long ago 7 level trainers were going for like 5m and that is stupid in my opinion...
Also you wanted some answers and the only answer is 4 level trainer...

The prices are market based, so they are based on how much someone wants to pay for them. I'm not sure the BB's have time to constantly make changes to the supply of managers based on an irrational belief that a certain level of manager is required for success.

In other words, the user base controls their destiny on this. I think this is better then the BB's constantly tinkering and controlling things the we can make our own decisions on.

edit - sorry Sarge, basically saying what you are saying

You're thinking about this as black and white, right way vs wrong way. This, as with buying players on the TL, setting arena prices, etc. These are gray areas, there's not right or wrong way, its the way you think is best for your team.

I don't doubt that L6 trains faster then L4, and I admit I don't have a ton of data on this, just my own experience and seeing other peoples similar situations. I would gladly buy a L6 trainer, but what I would pay is a lot less then what others pay. I can use that money for other ways I'd prefer to benefit my team.

Actually, Lvl 4 is thought the best for performance/price... you really should take that, if you can't afford it fire the one you have to free some income, then buy it.
You can train really good players with the advanced trainer.

I got my lvl 5 coach at 380k or so.

Try logging in when there isn't so many users online to bid against you.

It took me 1 - 2 weeks to get a cheaper coach, but 'good' things come to those who wait... not just whine.

I bought a 37k salary lvl5 coach with speciality for 23k yesterday. Took off about 20k a week from my last coach. The transaction will start paying off in about 4 weeks.

I bought my 40K salary lvl5 coach for just 1K. Or I could have gotten a 25K salary coach form about 500K.

Now comes a simple math question: how many weeks do I need to have this 40K coach to start losing money aginst the 25K deal?

I bought a level 5 coach because I wanted to train my draftee a bit faster. I currently think it's worth the money, but maybe in 4 or 5 weeks I feel differently, and will settle for a lvl4 trainer.

I bought my first lvl5 trainer with 18k salary for 400k. Now I'm just looking for a trainer that will start to pay himself back in 7 weeks (half a season) compared to my last trainer. So taking that into account you really can't pay more than 220k if you want to switch from a 53k salary trainer to a 18k salary trainer. Ofcourse we are considering the severance fee aswell into this calculation.
