Again, sorry, but you don't know that to be fact and neither does the OP. He's not upset that the site froze, he's upset that his player sold for less than he wanted. The problem here is that this type of thing has happened before in BB, on a much grander scale, and is one of the reasons you can't list a player for $0.
No, Im upset because i woke up at 3:30 in the morning to monitor the sell of a 23 year old with sensational inside D and prolific rebounding and for the crucial 3/4 mins of the sale, i didnt not have the option of repurchasing my player. Nor did anyone have the ability to bid on my player.
I'll stop you here. So you wanted to buy your player back, and were upset because you couldn't? It still seems you're upset about the transfer price of your player, and that had the site not frozen, you would've intentionally lost money to buy him back. Right?
This game is fun, for sure. But these glitches affect the experience.
I'm in total agreement with you on this point, but there's nothing you or I can do to change the fact that these things happen.
Everybody doesn have 4/5 weeks to drop a players price 2 to 3% for each listing. Arguing your point is like saying a fire during an auction validates a guy getting a picasso for 500 dollars, right?
It depends on the piece. If it was
Don Quixote, I think the price was fair. If it was
Guernica, on the other hand, I'd agree that $500 was too low. However, this is in a fantasy world where someone selling a Picasso is not going to ask for an amount they think is fair for a Picasso, they're just going to start the auction at $1.
And comparing a sensational ID and prolific RB player to a Picasso is frankly quite absurd. A quick check of the TL shows 35 such players (though two of them, to be quite honest, are rather rare birds).
You season 1/2/3 guys have to understand the ground we have to make up. its hard enough catching up as a season 7 guy, but now, we can barely turn a profit on the guys we sell. So yes, in an instance such as this, where im trying to clear roster space and get some money out of a guy i have listed 4 times already this season without a bid, its a frustrating experience.
This is an age of buzzerbeater where we are now training players that we will not turn a profit on, something that you early guys were able to until recently do without. Trying to get better while losing money on our players puts us younger teams in a position that you guys cant understand.
This is an entirely separate point, but it pretends that those of us who have been around for a while have never seen the economy take a giant crap before. We have. This isn't the first time, and certainly won't be the last.
What I can't imagine, however, is starting off in DII, quickly advancing to the top league in the country, sticking around for 5 seasons, all the while making impressive Cup appearances; then bitching about how folks that started playing earlier can't understand how hard it is to make money. Your last home game netted you about $200k
more than my last home game gave me, while you're paying well over $100k
less in salary than I am. Sounds like you're kicking me in the balls every week, profit-wise.
I have to apologize at this point, as I no longer feel any sympathy for you at all.
