This is exactly what playing this game the eBay-way means.

"Some" users are doing just that - creating a huge assets due to the longer time they are playing, and by exploiting TL bad implementation.
Than, due to the fact that there is no Salary-cap, they posses a team that by value is higher than others, and any tactic they will use will not change much of the outcome.

Those users wants to keep this that way.

Bad comparison...
But if you wanna another example it's like if you want a Rolex and you end buying a Rogex ;)
I'll further explain.
On real life, all know what is a reasonable price for a player, and the proposition for that same player will not vary by hundreds of percentage.

Look at ones TH and you will understand why he claims what he does.

Interestingly, although I didn't pointed to anyone in paticular, you jumped in... What one can understand from that?

Your Transfer balance does not say anything about the full story.
You may purchase top players by money you got + deals where you sold a lousy players for much more than he worth.

This is not the "fun topic" thread, you know? Now even people losing 4+ Millions are daytraders and ebay gamers?

There´s nothing wrong with earning money on the Transfer List. It´s part of managing. There´s something bad with dumping all season and then "buying" promotion or such with all the saved money, as it makes the work of those who try to "win" on a regular basis annoying and wrong.

The opposite of a game where "long time" players have an advantage by default over newbies is a game which is totally arcade. Or a complete reset every season. Still, both of those options will lead to players spending MORE time on the game having and advantage over those who are only there every now and then. Time is a huge factor in pretty much every game besides correspondance chess.

There IS an option to get to the top over time in BB. I don´t know why you fail to see it and keep dragging unproven personal opinions and crooked data to back it up. This thread is about what? About limiting the impact of the TL? Today was "transfer day" in European Soccer. Maybe 200 top league teams kept wheeling and dealing because the Transfer List closed midnight. Madness each time, plenty deals and stuff. Buzzerbeater has 40.000k teams. If every team only makes 2 deals a season that´s still 40.000 transactions (one buyer and one seller each). 40k transactions. And you want to put that in let´s say a two week span? That´s a deal every 30 seconds for two continuous weeks with plenty bidding and stuff. Not much room for games left, and it´s by no means helping the teams who are on rare, as there will be a HUGE run at the TL during that time.

Now I think I made more like 11 deals this season. More users like me and the TL would completely collapse if you even shorten the time to maybe two stints of two weeks each. But then again, I´m an ebayer and daytrader of course...

The point is that there would be far less transfers due to the time limits, and a greater emphasis on working what you have. I don't see the point of condensing all BB transfers into two weeks because 90% of them would never happen. Teams would be more patient and more thoughtful instead of overhauling the roster whenever the slightest thing goes wrong.

As it stands, the most active managers make the most money and earn the most success, and god forbid a team tries something other than LI and RnG.

I had a lot of success in a short time because I daytraded. When I stopped doing that and tried playing with tactics, I was surpassed by more active managers. idk, the game rewards used car salesmen and trade machine fanatics. Honestly I see what it takes to be good at this game and it bores the daylights out of me because it's so incongruous with what it takes to build an actual good basketball team.

I´m not sure about this anymore- what you write was true around season 10-12. With the current economy and rules, daytrading became WAY less effective.

It can still be done, but it just requires a greater time commitment. Once again, managers who feed BB the most page hits get the most wins, regardless of skill.

Also it only strengthens the old teams which built huge bank accounts and sat around as new teams were unable to catch up in the depressed market.

You've described it precisely, and that is why you got an answer that it is "not happening anymore".
I guess from what you wrote that you experienced it not a decade ago, but on last seasons.

Of course, if that was not the case anymore, those who are against limiting the day-traders weren't those who are executing that "BB-strategy"...
