Not really. The guy only played his backups to get training minutes, while I can play my starters, so it was no contest. Probably underestimated me a little. Honestly, how well one does in DIV really depends on which league you get into on promotion. There are some insane leagues which are pretty much DIII level competition there, or there are terrible ones where very few can still manage minutes.

I semi left buzzerbeater last time I made it to D.4, and i had set my team to train free throws. My team (without my setting any tactics) when to the playoffs first season and then the finals the next. I hadn't bought a single player since promotion. I really hope next time I promote isn't to a league like that.

Two only undefeated teams went head to head, The game was close up until 5 minutes in the 4th when the Hoyas sunk 2 threes. I was going all FGCU with like 50 dunks in that game and was even ahead until they get a flagarant foul. 4 points in that possession. Plus their center played like 15 minutes with 5 fouls and never got that 6th. Really, I just had the tactics right and my PF was a monster, but my leading scorer couldnt make a shot, 6-28 and the team was 0-12. Maybe I should have CT.........

The problem was, your fouls were lopsided. They shot 22-32, while you only got 11 chances at the charity stripe, making 6 points off those. Secondly, you ran a 1-3-1 defense, which sacrificed a lot of rebounding for you that would have helped, a 3-2 would have been much more effective. Thirdly, (and this is the weird part), you used Low Post, which is a slower tactic, but somehow took almost 20 more shots than them? As a rule, Look Inside is preferable to Low Post, just because of the increased pace and the ability to take more shots. But that was a really good attempt, and you came super close, so kudos to you.

Yeah, fouls weren't really something I could control. I think the 1-3-1 defense actually performed better defending the jump shot while giving up only 15 offensive rebounds, which isn't really that much. I knew that my bigs would do better than his seeing as how he also ran a 1-3-1 and focus primarily on the perimeter offence. And the reason I used Low Post is to slow the game down because his team was clearly more talented. I wasn't trying to get blown out at home. The fact is that his 2 top players are paid more than my entire team so I'm pretty happy with this.

No one's posted in forever. Interesting in the game, the Dudes suffered a shock home loss. They were TIE against the new Clutch Mambas. Also Statesboro suffered their 2nd loss; however, continued to play TIE as well. I think they have yet to switch to normal or CT it.

Funny how that happened. I didn't know they had invested in some better players, so I ran my B lineup because I thought that both would be inactive. I was saving my starters for today's game so I can stay alive in the cup, and just didn't scout enough. That and they shot lights out from beyond the art, which didn't help at all.

Big win over Turk for me, really happy with that over a team with 3x the salary of my team and with my new C getting injured in a scrimmage!

Btw round of applause for one of the best cup runs I've seen by a D.5 manager. That is gotta gonna give you an interesting advantage come playoffs. Cause I don't think anyone has seen all your starters yet.

I was thinking of buying a new shooting guard but I decided I'll just wait for next season as I really would like to concentrate on training my players and building some capital.

@crazybulgar... looking forward to our semi-finals matchup in the playoffs as I think I've probably TIE'd my way out of a 1st place finish.

I hope everyone gets a player in the all-star game!

Thanks. :-) It all came to an end tonight though. I was so close to the 128 round! Honestly, it's all due to the amazing draws I've gotten thus far, I pretty much got a bye to the 4th round because I faced three straight bots from DVI. And yes, it will make things interesting, I've never played a league game thus far at full strength, but that will change very soon.

Building your arena is the best thing you can do right now. I just sunk in 360k last week into an expansion, and the more you have coming in each week the faster you can build your roster, so that sounds like a solid plan.

My playoff hopes have been jeopardized with that second loss though, that hurt a lot. I didn't scout thoroughly enough before I planned my roster that week. :-(

Holy cow, my entire starting 5 made the all-star game! 3 out of the 4 center nominees are mine, along with three other nominees in different positions. This is quite crae ya'll.

Congrats to all who won on Saturday, should be a fun break this week.
