Okay thank you. Just making sure cause it seems like one of my 21 years old PG's is capped and he hasn't reached the max value of the cap range

Have you checked BuzzerManager? They have a feature that tells you if your players are capped or at least in that range.

A 'star' guard with a $21,000 salary is likely getting fairly close.

Yeah I did and it's 95-100% so basically, I'll be lucky to get two-three pops this season

I would say that he's capped. I think once he's capped you can still get pops but they come at a significantly slower pace. I want to say it's at about 1/6th the rate but I'm guessing.

Yeah I'll train him for about three more weeks and if nothing happens, I'll figure out whether to sell him now or wait until later to make a playoff push

Something is wrong my PG he is still chucking and just recently popped in his passing, he took 32 shots (he was 4-16 from 3). His passing is sensational right now my training plan is passing until 2 pops then switch to JR until 1 pop and so on.

I think he was chucking due to the outside zone your opponent ran. His zone slowed down your offense alot (based off low scoring output and low shot attempts), and Push the Ball played more like a Patient/Base Offense strategy where your PG got the ball a lot in short clock situations and chucked from outside instead of passing or driving. You need better IS and maybe some more handling/driving? I'm not sure of Madison's stats these days.

A couple of other things, you were using PTB which is kinda high paced, and Madison played all 48 minutes. Even if you had 10 Stamina I could still see the effectiveness of Madison's skills degrade significantly still. Then there comes experience, the more experienced he gets, the more he will pass instead of shoot. I think you need to up his PA (which is what you are doing) and then up some more HA and DR so he can create more shots. Also get his IS up a bit so when he drives he also has a decent chance to put up points.

Oh and since you played M2M Def, his C and PF destroyed you on the inside >.>

I don't know if you know me, but I kinda know your general situation from reading your offsite diary. Even though you are rebuilding, I think you should at least get some bigs with good ID and PA (don't need IS if you don't have the money to bid/pay salary) so that you don't get wrecked against any inside offence. As it stands, anyone who checks out your roster can easily see you have no bigs that are good and will easily exploit it by going inside offence and doing an outside D offence since you have no pressure in terms of inside scoring.

And since your PG only has 2 options to go to (SG or SF) since your bigs have no inside pressure, and your SG and SF were being 3-2 zoned, your PG had to chuck the ball since there wasn't any good passing options

Try to get like 26 YO bigs so their defence lasts you until you are done training your others.

Does your trainer matter at all for team training? Will your players train in stamina/free throw faster with a level 5 trainer vs a level 1 trainer or are trainers just for individual training?

Doesn't matter for FT or Stamina.

I'm rebuilding now so I just replaced my best bigs with some scubs/trainee. So that's the reason there's a lack of IS. I think I'll stop using PTB soon, I guess. Here's Madison's skills:

Jump Shot: marvelous Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: wondrous Handling: tremendous
Driving: tremendous Passing: sensational ↑
Inside Shot: inept Inside Def.: awful
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: pitiful
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: pitiful

Right now my team's gameshape is terrible so got to consider that. Hoping I can get Madison's passing up to wondrous and his JR to prominent, and then focus on training my bigs next season. :P I think I kind of overeacted a bit, beause I kind of expected him to pass more score less after he popped in passing without considering my team's situation. lol

EDIT: I forgot to add that he plays the full 48 minutes too. So far he's averaging 21.7 pts (on terrible percentage), 4.0 assists, 3.0 steals, 1.3 TO, and 8.7 rebounds. His stats is kind of inflated due to his minutes but he's gonna become an awesome player for my team when he transitions into a scoring point guard. :P

PS: Should I use look inside? I kind of worry when I use this tactic because my guards aren't good inside shooters.
