Ultimately this is not a general poll about the economy. It's a specific poll about a specific arguments some people use, that prices are not high enough and should be higher.

Don't tell me - I don't think you have an agenda to increase inflation, remember? Tell it to that other guy that seemed to actually want to discuss the economy, if he ever shows up again at least. If you're looking for virtual pats on the back by getting people to vote against these arguments that vex you so, I'm all in favor of that.

Come on, hrudey! No need to be sour about this. You're leaning towards the majority of people who are fine with the current situation, you said that, remember?

Now other people can say they speak for you too, when they mention the 80% to those who say we should increase prices or prices are not high enough! Isn't that great? (y)

I only wanted to have factual evidence of whether the userbase stands on those arguments.

I'm not having a go, just trying to start an actual debate, where anyone and everyone can contribute there ideas.

This is just turning into the last thread where its just arguing and bickering over little details, which isn't going to encourage people to join in.

Ok I agree. Nobody except ExplosiveBubbleWrap gave us an idea of how he relates to the current levels on the TL.

I will add that for the kind of difference-making player I'm looking for it would take more than a season to acquire, judging by the going rates in the last offseason and despite that I'm still in the cup, I'm at the top of my league and -Typical Weekly Net Income: $ 92 157-.

Is that too long for a single player given that kind of weekly profit? I don't know. I sure understand how people who turn in a 20k profit have no chance whatsoever to save and buy that kind of players. You can say, well then buy progressively towards that goal, buy and sell players of an intermediate skill level until you can afford that great player. Unfortunately with taxes of various kind that's become more difficult too :(.

its a yes or no question in build, it doesn't need 3 sides.. it defeat the point of direct questioned asked. which is yes or no.

No middle to debate the two. A direct question is not biased lol.. What your looking for is wiggle room, Nothing wrong with that. But there is such thing as direct question in which you answer yes or no.

CHeers for understanding, Lemon.

I agree with your point, i'm in the same position, without selling my MVP draftee it will take me most of the season (100,000 profit a week) to buy a player that will get me promoted.

It can make being in the lower leagues a waiting game but then I guess I might see the benefit when I am forced to sell my trainee down the line because he could fetch well over a million..

Well let's see Perpete: all the winners of my league since I got there are currently in D1. The guy who won my league in S29 seasons ago, actually won the D1 title in S30. My D2 league has consistently the lowest average ranking of all D2 in England and consistently the most teams progressing in the cup. I only started Private Leagues this season and it doesn't look very likely that I will lose to any of the D2 playoff teams (from a much larger nation like the US for example) even if I make experiments. I'm freaking ranked 13 in my country despite not having set foot in D1 ever. But yeah maybe it's because I can beat higher salary teams, it must mean that they suck and my league suck and perhaps all the other D2s and D1 in England suck. Excellent reasoning and excellent example of how to derail a thread after Blur already reminded us twice to keep it constructive.

I told you what my situation is. After your comment can we agree than not many teams are as lucky as me to have such shitty human opponents. Perhaps we should move on to some actual points. Like how long do you think it's reasonable to wait to have a go at an elite player or an elite trainee (say a player/trainee which currently costs 1 million or more and that's not even that high for "elite" players/trainees).

Maybe now you will go all hrudey on us and tell us that lower league teams could train low potential low cost players? I haven't seen any change that increases the benefit (in terms of economy or otherwise) for managers to train low potential compare to high potential trainees, but if you know that prices are going up I'd argue it makes more sense to try and go for elite trainees as soon as you have the chance to.
