The effect of doctors in preventing long term injuries (injuries that last beyond the game where the injury takes place) did change in some small ways during the transition last season. We did our best to keep overall effectiveness close, however. As we said in the news, Each new staff member has approximately the same ability level and salary his predecessor.
I believe that the reports of injuries in this thread are not a reflection any change in the doctors. Injuries are still rare, and multiple injuries on one team even rarer, but they do happen, and when they do, it often seems like more than just bad luck. Here are a few stats that may be reassuring: We currently over 38000 teams with human GMs. The current numbers may be a bit lower than usual because of the offseason, but of those teams, 83.6% have no injured players, 14.7% have 1 injured player, and 1.7% have multiple injured players.
