Let's not forget that at the end of the games the losing team starts jacking up 3s even if one plays LI, so the chances of a come back increase dramatically vs. 2-3 zone.

Rebounding strenghten the defence, and the opposing team don't attack more efficient and you can reach this with pretty average player. taking away second chanche points, is also part of avoiding buckets.

I think also the game from Spartan against Rabadense was intresting in that direction, even when he lost with the 2-3 Zone.

the game engine has some flaws which prevents some tactics from working as intended..

i figured that was the case. so they really *didn't* intend it to be this difficult to use 2-3 zone...

Rebounding strenghten the defence

that's the only real positive. but gets far outweighed by everything else IMO.

true.
i just meant in general though.
(and a team is in serious trouble if the best option is to not even try to stop the opponent from scoring!)

maybe they can add a defense where all 5 players have their back to the offense... & are waiting for a rebound under the basket, haha. call it the 0-5 zone!

Although it should also have a huge benefit in picking up loose balls when atrocious handling big men fumble with it.

The shooting percentage of the opponent won't raise, and he takes less shot. imho that a good deal.

Playing 3-2 against outside team, didn't totally change the game to maybe there are more misses but more offensiv rebound in the end you are happy that the opponent score ten point less. You don't shut him down from 100 to 50 point with it, the same things happen with 2-3. Just that most player already plays SF, who are very outside focused so that you don't have to change then.
