IS play vs ID, and you think IS play vs SB? Wtf

SB give your player chance to Block a shoot, not to stop the opponent during the game and playing better defense.

Defence is cheaper than attack, but... nobody trains it

We have defense high but they don't stop the LI even you play 2-3.

Thinking like that bring you to the III League :)

It's kinda unfair attacking like this :)

There is no doubt shot blocking is defensive skill. So yes, IS is playing against SB and ID. SB is not only effective block, but also preventing from scoring a basket. It was even said by BBs (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thread=208622&m=116 - SREZ question)

All I can say, maybe it is still too low and it means your high defense is not as high as it should be?:)

Its not attacking my friend, you can't compare IS and SB like primary skills on Outside and Inside players

Ofc SB is a deff skill who help your player to block a shoot, not to play better defense.

I don't think 19 and 20 ID on my Bigs is too low.

I think we misunderstand each other. In simple words:

Inside defense (as defense rating) = Inside defence + shot blocking.

One skills means nothing without second, that's the reason why Centers put ball into basket at FG% over 55%. It's the reason why LI works and IS is so popular skill trained. I didn't said your ID skill is low, but sum of SB and ID is too low comparing to high IS.

But anyway 2-3 should give you more power to stop the LI tactic, I think you'll agree too.

I'm a SB believer. I Like SB now. Someday I might even make a Big with 16 SB! Well all I can say is that LI is becoming too powerful.....maybe SB and ID combined can help stop LI? I mean Sometimes I hate it when I'm training my bigs cause they foul too much! simply cause they don't have the ID yet to match up on other opponets' bigs. Thats one flaw in LI. It's simply impossible to train Cs and not lose in training. in D5 it's ez. but one you get in higher divisions it's harder. Basically in D4 you need a Big trainee to back up. for guards it's still manageable. For bigs No. I like Motion. I like FCP and RnG but my players have no st to play hard. I think omeday a team will come with players that have 9 ST and then have good SB in oder to finally take down LI. Or BBs could just tweak it and make 3-2 a bit stronger to make it a more even chance.



as for the draft I'm in highly support of scrapping this stupid system. Last season in my draft (V.89) there was only 1 good guy then the rest was trash. That's not even right? I thought drafts were supposed to have more 18 yr olds that are star potential. not 19 yr olds and stupid junk potential guys. I mean you can still make room for a star and allstar but seriusly? I want more Allstars and stars in the draft then these stupid junk potential guys.

I had big men with 13 and 15 SB and 16 ID. Got waxed by good LI teams. I do not, however, agree that SB kills salary. It is cheaper than the other three inside skills according to salary calculators. It is just that people want huge rebounding, inside shot, and inside defense to go along with the SB.

True, but what else besides ID stops player getting shot? My opinion is high OD for pf/c pozition. Atleast in low levels div 3 and div 4 i noticed that teams, which runs LI distributes the ball to bigs way less often against me than other teams. Maybe since LI is somewhat fast paced offense OD prevents enemies bigs to drive to the paint and get good shot oportunity? That would explain why OD defending LI for guards is so neccesarily. Cause it prevents guards for passing ball to centers? what if both Guards would prevent passing and bigs would prevent driving?:D

I think the engine mainly runs pick and roll. So what happens when bigs cant defend it? Pick and roll rules lol, so LI rules the world.
