Well, generally you can get better prices on players for next season after the transfer deadline has passed. Plus I had planned to do a homegrown team when I started, and went slightly away from due to initial roster and getting two guys very cheaply. Thinking I may go back to my original plan. But sure, if I found a good deal on someone for next year, I'd be willing to make the purchase. But that is different than actively looking for new players to make a playoff run looking to advance.

I may do the reverse. If I finish the season with 1 loss, I'll sell off my entire roster. XD

Well, that's twice I've forgotten to set a lineup. The first time wasn't terrible, since it was a league game and my default lineup is probably close to my best competitive lineup so it only screwed up training. Yesterday though put a serious harm in my GS and threw a wrench in training again. Although I suppose when the book is written, I'll just say it was a punishment to my players for sucking against the Pancakes, so since the league won't let us run suicides in practice for seven hours, I figured I'd just play them until they dropped. In the end, a first round exit is a first round exit whether the GS is 9 or 4!

That's horrible. I expect more humane treatment of your players. Im setting my lineup on vacation.

Worse yet, it was a home game so you can't even blame it on somebody else picking a bad time for you. haha

You underestimate my ability to blame other people. I've already informed E.B.W. that it was his fault and that he should feel an appropriate amount of shame. But, yeah, it was just a total foul up. Worst part is that I was on and clicked over to this team a few hours before the game, but didn't check my lineup like I usually would.

Well, certainly no harm in blaming E.B.W.!

But yeah, after the first couple of games this season, I decided it was best to set my lineups for the next game immediately after I'd viewed the current one, when before I'd typically set them the day of the game. Just too easy to miss the changing start times - like my 5am game today which I'm now waiting to finish to view the replay rather than join live near the end.

I may still tinker with the lineups a little, but at least that way I have something set.

Wow, number 1 pick gone just like that. Not a lot you might have done either, since a forfeit also would have lost the draft position. I guess you might have started just 3 guys rather than four, and perhaps not made any GDP prediction so you couldn't get one correct by accident. But even then you might not have lost. Hope you've found two potential draftees.

I left my draft order up to random.org, not that it really matters drafting somewhere in the middle. Terrible season to finish 5th though. My cut of a playoff game against the #1 seed would likely be more than I'll save by not paying salaries for an extra week. Oh well, time to start working on next season. Hoping to find a solid starter for a reasonable price on the TL during the off-season.

Sounds a lot like my game too. I don't think there's much chance of home court mattering in my game, but my arena should bring in more money than Pelevialli's would so I guess there's some upside to that. Very fortunate for me that Penetratory decided to try even less than I did.

I'd rather face you than Pelevialli. You better use that home court and a POCT.
