Announcer: as the season heads into cross over play the question is, has club fed made the strides that many think will lead to a change in the balance of power here in the slaughterhouse? Tonight we get the first glimpse into what the answer will be.

Many in preseason thought Petersburg would steamroll to a return to D2, but the first round of action finds them under .500. now they start this section with a trip to face a blasters club which has not found their return to where they had great success seasons ago to be as prosperous as they hoped.

The chefs have been crushing the competition as of late, let's see how they fare against the underappreciated bunnies

The mavs draw a free lap against the jammers

And Deronimo does the same with the barricade

The dogs and Masters matchup in a battle between teams both needing the win to stay in sight in their respective races.

2 and the generals get it on in a battle between two teams on the collective boarder line.

The stones will seek to snap out if their tailspin against the neglected nation.

And in a battle of the league leaders the kitties look to lick their wound and to survive the oncoming stormz.

I have one hell of a sports day this year for my Thanksgiving.


Skins vs Cowboys 4pm : Skins are still in control of the division and a win here could essentially wrap it up as they would be at least 2 games ahead of Philly and 2 plus a tiebreaker on big D but Dallas can place themselves in position to control their own destiny. Losing Alex Smith sucks but Colt McCoy can get it done, a win here and it's whole new game. History suggest Dallas wins and with Smith out it could be a 24-10 type game.

UNC vs Texas 730pm: first real test for the heels, and the horns over the years have given them fits. Should be a good one.

Jizzy Gillespie vs Greensboro Generals 8pm: it was on Thanksgiving night in 2011 I caught the BB bug. (42221347) . That was when I added my first high dollar transfer and that guy played a helluva game. And my team that night played a game both inspiring and heartbreaking. On that night I fell behind, badly. Was trailing 64-38 or something like that mid 3rd. Made a little run to get to about 10-12 but with about 5 minutes left I was still down 15. But somehow someway we took it to overtime. And at the end I was up 100-98 bit committed a foul on a missed three as time ran out, leading to the only blemish I had for that season as we steamrolled to a easy d5 title. The next season someone in the forums keyed me into GS and I took my league to get to d3.


Now in many ways this goes full circle. But tonight I am at home. My opppoent looks overall stronger, both teams comein with some minutes accured but with at least something left in the tank.

Luxury box owners will be part of the pre game Thanksgiving dinner, and we have extended our opponents an invitation to attend, just show up around 12 at the arena, we will socialize in the players lounge and serve dinner at approximately 3pm.

Announcer: this season our ensemble consist of the usual cast of characters, some returning competitors and those who have come to see how they stack up in one of the leagues with the most continuity in all of division three. And tonight we take another step towards figuring out just where everyone stands.


Petersburg seeks to finally find some consistency while Masters seeks to find a way to keep in touch with the upper echelon.

Deronimo seems to have gotten out of their early season doldrums while the mavs look to continue their charmed ways

Two seasons back in the slaughterhouse Cal has re-established their championship pedigree. Two however is still fine tuning their current model.


Stormz and Chef have surprisingly shot to the top of their respective hit parades. Tonight the take a tussel in what could be a finals preview

The generals and stones square off in a game of two teams struggling to stay above water.

And the kitties get the close to a free lap route as they face the Soon to be defunct nation

Sybil will have her say on the events of the evening and we have a special seance occuring this evening to see if the God's can tell us about why a club with some much promise in lakenation has seemingly abandoned ship. We of course will check out the comings are goings on the transfer ticker and of course we will also break down this weeks cup competition. Tonight's open is of move and counter move mixed together from both sides of the league equation. All the good stuff, stop and pop, give and go, matching up mano a mano etc etc

Announcer: two rounds into cross conference play and the battle sits all even. Club red has shown they collectively have moved up a few notches, but big blue is not going down without a fight. And with cup play slowly coming to a conclusion for those in the slaughterhouse it is always interesting to see how those concerns affect the mindsets of their respective teams.

Deronimo is still part of the process and has a manageable draw. The blasters on the other hand have left the cup building and can fully concentrate on trying to best improve their standing.

The chefs also are in position to claim another 50k of cup cash. And they have the benefit of know what the abandoned nation will provide.

That however did not help the kitties much last Saturday as they were completely clobbered by said nation. Maybe they we're saving themselves for the visiting generals who the kitties have always taken great pleasure in clawing when they have the generals come calling, plus they should have plenty in the tank for both this and a modest cup draw. The generals on the other hand would love to get back to even money because they're cup run comes to a complete halt with a trip to NBBA powerhouse Eggies on the horizon.

In a battle between the twos the bunnies have already been blunced from the cup, while the mavs have a tricky proposition coming their way

2 should be able to take care of their cup obligations. However Dealing with a Petersburg club that needs every win they can muster to keep the howling wolves at Bay is another matter entirely.


Masters gets the luxury of practically a free lap against the jammers but have that complicated with a tight cup contest on the way.

Cal looks good to go with both a manageable league game with the stones and a soft cup draw.

As tonight's opening theme plays we take a reflective look upon the trials of the campaign so far focusing on the night to night struggles showing in the faces and the body language of the struggle to survive the nightly grind.

Announcer: as we enter the second half of the season the struggle continues. For some it is to stay in contention, for others it is just about survival and for several it is just about trying to ride out the remaining contests.

The blasters have found their return to the slaughterhouse to be a struggle. It does not get easier with a stormz squad coming to town needing to win in order to keep others at arm's length.

That other of course would be the dogs who tonight have a daunting task in a trip to face the surging chefs.

The mavs get the true free lap with the remnants of the abandoned nation in town.

The bunnies and Masters battle in a contest between two teams needing the win to advance their agendas.

Petersburg and kitties clash in a battle between clubs needing the win to remain on the inside of the playoff picture.

The stones look to maybe draw even with the blasters in the win column with a visit from the downshifting jammers on tap.

And the generals are looking to climb back up the table against the back peddling barricade, though they also have to keep their cup obligations in mind while doing so which means this game could be a lot closer than many might expect

Sybil of course will return with her projections for the evening. A trip to the transfer ticker as usual is on tap. Five members of our collective have cup matches on tap and many of if not all are winnable so there could be quite the presence of the slaughterhouse in the field of 64 this season. And we will also pay tribute to the fallen nation as it is always sad to see a team exit the proceedings, especially one that held as much promise as lakenation did.
