Thanks much. The team played better than expected... must have been showing off for the home crowd

WOW!!!

You weren't kidding about Thursday's game, I have to admit I'm a bit flatter that you actually felt the need
tanked a league game, cause you feel you need all hands on deck to massacre my squad ha ha ha

I have feeling you will be some what disappointed by the end result as it's probably an over kill, I have feeling you
didn't need to tank the game and still would had gotten a victory over my squad.

But now I'm a little bit curious to see how close my squad can keep the final score board at the end, since you feel you need all your main players for this game.

I'm not going to wish you good luck, let's be honest you have a big squad you don't need any luck..... ha ha ha ha

I dont have much depth anymore- my bottom 5 is terrible, as you just saw And I'm not messing up GS for a cup game. That just doesnt make sense.

Salaries aren't everything. You just pulled out a great W on the road this week by being the better manager.

So yeah, beating you is #1 priority -- not taking it lightly. All hands on deck lol!

Well I wish my squad was at full strength at least, I will be missing a key player very vital to my team, when he is out things
get out wack, I have to get creative and keep my finger cross it all plays out at the end.... ha ha ha

Yeah I'm proud of my bench and third tier squad players they came up big, but your squad and the squad I played are not even close ....lol

So, beating my squad is #1 priority, really?! ...... so does that means I'm getting crunch time ? ha ha ha

Your GS would had recovered the hit sooner then later if you know what to do.

I can't afford to go all in when I know the odds are not good, if I had real chance I would probably risk it.

You're gonna have to decide what level of enth to put in LOL, I won't give you any hints on that. I don't CT though -- haven't done it in many seasons...so that's def not an option for me.

Nah, it pains me when I have 80+ minutes for a starter -- I try to stay within the 60-70 range on a normal week. If I tried to beat my opponent last night, I would have been pushing 100+ for a few guys. I do have a decent league record, so I can afford to lose a couple of league games and still stay in the cup hunt (furthest I've ever gone was 16). I am currently taking all the proper measures to have the best GS possible -- but I really like when everyone is at a 9. That's the goal every week. Hard to do that with 90-100 minute workload. Psych and Massage doctor if you care to know. It's a must-do for you near the end of the season for playoffs. I had 9's across the board for last seasons semis (which I lost). I had a key injury during the game and the guy I played had me by about 80k salary. It was still pretty close.

Still, even with a couple of advantages in our matchup...I can't afford to let a normal on the road against a Top 100 team beat me (I am assuming a normal effort from you, a normal at home vs. TIE on road wins a lot of the time), because stranger things have happened. You may even have a crowd involvement guy, which would add a degree of difficulty. It is too bad that you're running without a key guy.

My scouting tells me to expect a fast paced offense -- but you switch tactics well, and you're a pretty good guesser. If I were to guess, I would guess Motion or Patient...because it's the thing I shouldn't expect based on what you've done so far.

Like I said earlier, I'm impressed with your team and think you have a good chance to win your league. Plus, you do have a couple of key matchups in your favor (PG, SG), so it could get interesting with the right tactics from you. Here's what I think your lineup could be.

PG1 Beser PG2 Paulsen
SG1 de Alcaraz SG2 Paulsen
SF1 unsure SF2 Coto
PF1 Musmeci PF2 Awa
C1 Mahdavi C2 Awa

Anyway, it's good to have a back-n-forth like this prior to a cup game, it's fun.

Again, good luck bro.

Hmmm Interesting take.

Personality I prefer to slow it down and grind it out, but this squad doesn't pull that off well against good teams.
I need to take advantage of their versatility, to counter what I consider their flaws.

In tournament games there is no home advantage, there is a home and away team, but the advantage
tool gets disable for this matches.

I know how to work around GS. when mins get too high for some players, there are a couple of things you can do
mostly if you're short on personnel.

16 is the highest my team has gone in the tournament as well.

Scouting sometimes can tell you such much, I personally like to pick at it from all point of views, when I'm engage
and to be honest I'm just going to the motions right now.

I need to save up money before I go in D2,, so far every time I landed there was by mistake.....lol

Hey about what to expect from scouting, sometimes is not good to out guess your self, cause the opponent could be running tactics Phil Jackson style, or he could just pull a Karl Malone move on you.

Some people have a tendency in playing, either by lack of coaching skills or simply their squad has limitations, just gotta figure out which one and adjust accordingly.

This season for my league Southpoint is the favorite to win it all, I can beat him if put my mind to it, but like I said I'm just going through the motions, not ready to go to D2, unless I end up there again by mistake ha ha ha

Right now all I want is to see how close my guys can keep the match.

It's not that time consuming -- I do usually look at BM to get a feel for his squad and what I may go up against -- I also check minutes. I throw my squad and tactics in CoachParrot and go with the best plan based on how I'm feeling about it.

It's not like I can go to the bar anymore or watch sports -- lol

I'm a vet manager and somehow I didnt know HCA was not involved in cup games -- smh. Learn something new every day. I def have limitations right now but I'll make a few more adjustments in the hope that I can be competitive in my league...lots of great managers here.

Well, like I said I like to pick at scouting. sometimes it can be very entertaining, looking at all the variables, some times you can pick patterns is the software.

Oh so You use coachparrot, that's cool it's a very good tool.

Sports!, what are those?..ha ha ha
Yeah a lot more time in my hands to look at things lately.

I found out a long way back when I was preparing for a tournament game, a league GM that was in my league told me
that HCA didn't apply to cup games, cause it can gives an unfair advantage, so is set to like a neutral arena setting.

Well, against your team there is not a lot adjustment I can make, I think already tweaked it all that can.

When teams are similar in lvl I feel like I can play with the adjustments more to expose any weakness I believe they have, but I have to admit sometimes those weakness have been hidden traps...lol
A strategy I used a lot and hurts to fall for it my self ha ha ha

I'm not sure that you're correct about HCA and cup games.

I think in the Elite Eight the games start getting played in neutral territory...couldn't find any reference to all cup games being neutral in FAQ or manual.
