Final playoff preview show is now. As the final games approaches tonight the great 8 has already been decided. It will be,
1. Hayward vs 4. Pixies
2. Phantom vs 3. Sofeugg

In the relegation
5. Ball Junkies vs 7.Quarantine Age or CC Mavs
6 Quarantine Age or CC Mavs vs 6.Chippewa
5. Pittsburgh or Columbus vs 7. Tiger sharks

The Big 8 though has some seeding still to decide
The battle for the one seed, the battle for the four seed, and the battle for the six seed

First for the one seed, San Diego gets it with a win vs Columbus, or a Caerbannog loss to CC Mavs. Caerbannog gets it with a win vs CC and a San Diego loss to Columbus

Next the 4 seed, Columbus gets it with a win vs San Diego or a Pittsburgh loss to Quarantine Age. Pittsburgh needs a win over Quarantine Age and a Columbus loss to San Diego

The six seed. CC Mavs needs a win vs Caerbannog or a Quarantine Age loss vs Pittsburgh. Quarantine Age needs a win and a CC Mavs loss.

That is all for the playoff show, I will be busy tonight so anyone that wants to do BB2NIGHT in my place is more than welcome to.

Coach Law steps up to the mic for the bubble elimination series.

No, we didn't make the playoffs.
No, we didn't have the best season.
However, We accomplish our goals of not being in last place while training a bunch of rooks, 2nd year players and players just new to the team. We had a lot of guys playing out of position (training purposes) and gave a lot of minutes to some old vets who should of been coming off the bench and getting less minutes. Hats off to Coach kdsburner for GDP and giving us a good whipping. We will not soon forget the Turtles!

We need a couple of more seasons to train but hopefully we shall see some improvement in our young players as they get that much needed experience and find where they are the best position for the team. We hope to get pass our next opponent in this series and continue to show how we won the trophy some seasons back. This you can bet ... Coach Law drops the mic ...

Congrats to everyone on a well played regular season, I wanted to give a list of awards for individual players as well as some for exceptional performance this season. I know buzzerbeater does the league mvp but as all of you know. There is more than just the mvp. Note I tried to remove all bias from the awards, however some with might disagree me, given the choices so without further delay.

League mvp,
Winner Todd Jefferson (San Diego) As the league leading scorer, on the one seed, dropping 60+ on the bunnies gives you the mvp
Runner Up: Domenik Einsiedel (Columbus) a consistent 25 pts and 15 rebs a game he’s had a tremendous season for Columbus

Mid-Season Pickup: this award is for the best player bought throughout the season after 5 games or later
Winner: Gaston Daza (Pittsburgh) I know what your thinking, here’s the bias, but you have to consider, when I acquired Daza my team was 1-5, now we are 12-10 in the playoffs. He has been a crucial part of my team since
Runner Up: Matt Felton (Quarantine Age) The big man that has held his own, even making the all star, Quarantine Age would probably be in 7th place still without him, but certainly would not have as many wins.

The award show isn’t over but it cannot fit on one post

Next up Nightmare matchup, for the player who is most unguardable
Winner: Ivan Petrenko (Phantom) he has played every position this year 1-5, the third leading scorer in the league, and the only hope of stopping him is hoping he doesn’t shoot
Runner Up: Issac Elliot (Caerbannog), like Ivan he is an incredible scorer who can play anywhere on the court

Next up Mr Consistency, the player who provides a consistent performance game in game out
Winner: Domenik Einsiedel, as mentioned in previous post 25 and 15 will get you the nod here
Runner Up: Paco Vereza ( Hayward), since paco was acquired by Hayward he has solid numbers every game, even though he is not in the top 10 in any category doesn’t mean he wasn’t consistent

Next up: Six Man of the Year
Winner: Sachar Sheetrit ( Ball Junkies), he helped carry the offense of the ball junkies while averaging only 20 minutes per game, it was offense off the bench that propelled them.
Runner Up: Conall Feerey (Pittsburgh), speaking of carrying the offense Conall did that for me especially in the first of the season, he has been a solid big man for me this season and has been instrumental for my team improvement

Game 1 of the playoff and relegation series tonight. Sideman and srar are done finally so goodbye to two cpu players. It’s playoff time which means every game is an important one.
So in the relegation series we have
The tiger sharks look to surprise Columbus in game 1
The Mavs take the victory at home vs Chippewa
And Quarantine Age play at the Ball Junkies appearing to the most competitive series

Now for the playoffs
San Diego plays against Pittsburgh in a game that Todd Jefferson looks to show why he is a matchup nightmare
Joao Felix looks to pull off the upset in the cave against Caerbannog
The Lumberjacks look to pound the pixies and move one step closer to the title
And Sofeugg plays Phantom in the most appealing matchup in this round

Biff and Gus now have less to talk about, the playoff games are set and now is time for action. For everyone hosting games tonight it’s time for BB2NIGHT!

Season 50 Awards:

MVP:

Todd Jefferson, San Diego Eagles

Runner-Up: Ivan Petrenko, The Phantom Thieves

Analysis: Jefferson the obvious choice with the huge scoring totals and high efficiency. Petrenko a close second because he's just so damn good. Derick Herrington from CC Mavs is a great player, but if you want to be in the running for MVP, you need to make the playoffs.

Season 50, League III.5 All-BuzzerBeater Teams:

1st Team:

G: Todd Jefferson, San Diego Eagles
G: Nathan Terrell, Columbus Comets
F: Ivan Petrenko, The Phantom Thieves
F: Derick Herrington, CC Mavs
C: Brock Koenig, The Phantom Thieves

Analysis: No surprises here, all well-deserved. Some controversy if Einsiedel should be on the first team in the place of Herrington, but with numbers basically the same, Herrington's advanced defensive metrics put him over the top. Einsiedel the odd man out in a log jam at Forward.

2nd Team:

G: David Bacon, The Phantom Thieves
G: Erik Kozma, Joao Felix FC
F: Svetsilav Branezac, Sofuegg
F: Domenik Einsiedel, Columbus Comets
C: Miroslav Lipatov, Pixies

Analysis: Lipatov pushed Koenig for the 1st team, but I have a feeling we will see Niesen around these parts soon.

3rd Team:

G: Pavlos Doxakis, Sofuegg
G: Maxim Pastukhov, Caerbannog Bunnies
F: Isaac Elliot, Caerbannog Bunnies
F: Naum Ganchev, Pittsburgh Pressure
C: Matt Felton, QuarantineAge, Mutant Ninja Turtles

Analysis: Pastukhov could have made 2nd team at any position, but most likely due to training, he hopped around quite a bit so he finds himself on the 3rd team. He makes it at guard mostly because of his July 25th PG performance against Sofuegg. Zoran Alempijevic from Joao Felix FC a tough leave off the 3rd team.

Missed BB2NIGHT for the semifinal games, so time to go for a quick recap of last night.

The Lumberjacks won again against Phantom
The Bunnies defeated San Diego, through some questionable choices
In the Relegation series
Columbus defeated tiger sharks
CC Mavs swept Chippewa
And Quarantine Age beat the ball junkies

Overall the Big 8 went 6-0 vs the Great 8 in the relegation series

As for other news, the Finals will be between Caerbannog and Hayward, Hayward looks to have the advantage on paper, but maybe the bunnies can pull fast one on them. Look forward to game one on Tuesday

In the transfer market it is fire sale galore. The eagles just decided to sell 4 players, Joao Felix decided to sell 3, Sofeugg still trying to sell their training products, Pittsburgh decided to sell Daza, and the ball junkies and pixies choose to sell some roll players. Everyone is selling so now might be a good time to buy.
