More than the realism, the biggest problem I have with the current setup is that it encourages all identical teams built up of SF - maybe one with a higher JS and the other with a higher ID. A couple of seasons ago in the IPBL, we had a team that built up a roster with a salary of $1.2 mil or so who got thrashed by the team with the salary-efficient roster. I'd like to see a team built of uni-dimensional players do well or a team with a single player, like the old Cavs.

What this does is that the balanced players cost a hell of a lot and, finally, the teams that do well are those that have tanked 4 or 5 seasons to save up 20+ million. This is now the strategy in the IPBL.

im still thinkin that the engine is BBs smallest "problem"

i like it..games r wentin out of blue that often..its that surprising and thrilling thing that hold my skinny ass in a childish enviromenent that many years

my opinion why so many poeple crying ( and at least BB marin is doing the " willy brandt warsaw genuflection " impression for u guys )

1) its the social network problem -- a forum opinion average IS NOT a user majority average
2) too many poeple didnt know how too chill and take that game what it is -- as fun
3) Look Inside is "easy" to build and the most user know what u need to play that tactic, the most market players fits for LI and cause of supply and demand most of that players r cheap as hell
4) my only suggestion, based on playing that silly game moons, is to boost up the strenght of the 23 zone..that zone is really messed up thats for sure

but the rest..i didnt know

Cheers

Bottom line: i prefer a old engine in a nice looking car ( or for u 13years old dudes..a fine looking girl with less brain ) instead of the opposite ( but the opposite is the road BB is taking right now and with the majority of the global forum users behing the wheel!!)

I agree that the 2/3 zone situation is a disaster and fixing it would probably solve a lot. When I started the game I was led to believe that 3-2 stopped outside offences and 2/3 stopped inside offences. If that was true the game would be a lot better. Just imagine that if all the predictable 100% of the time LI teams lost most games they played when faced with a 2/3 zone, they would have to become a lot more flexible and be able to play balanced or outside as well. Tactics would return to the game, imagine that.

To go back to your idea of minimal changes, what would happen if instead of just making guards pay for inside skills etc, all skills were charged equally for all players? Doesn't matter whether you are a guard or a center, that extra IS will cost the same.
