(in the case of Soccer USA team would suck if we only could use guys living in US!)

Heck, USA soccer is far from impressive even when you allow them to use players from the US.

It would be nice, though, to have sort of a second division BBB. Reaching BBB for a french manager is really difficult, as you have to go into D1, and then win a trophee. With a second tier cup modeled like BBB, you could get more players involved. Or do one for new users, ie anyone who registers in a given season gets to play a CCC the season after.

Just a thought.

A better idea, according me, would have been to draft a player from a "real" nationality, with a probability inversely proportional to the number of users of the country. In other words, an utopian team would have more chance to draft a player from Pakistan than from USA.

That would be a huge change and level the field (to a certain degree) for micros.

You can't design a game to cater to a guy like you who obviously wants to be the best at this or that. Most people in BB can't be the best, they need to be in a very low division with low division players.

I am the king of mediocrity, the opportunity to be one of the best teams is gone since I abandoned my first team. Now I just want to be above average in DIVII, train my centers in passing and build some above average players, turn my swag on and cound them stacks.

Maybe the game becomes better in the future, as long as there are that many things I would like to see changed/improved, I'll ride in the backseat and save up some money.

Albeit I like the fact there is a false nationality that has no nationalism behind it, it's also true that such a proposition could work and be useful for micronations.

There would still create a problem to resolve. As of now, if you buy a player from your nation, your merchandising benefit from it. If there is no Utopia nationality, there is no merchandising to gain and it is a lot more money to lose than few NT players. I also don't know exactly how the game would consider your draftee as your own if they are from another nation.

Maybe a tweak can be done to create two nationalities or keep a trace that it was drafted in Utopia, but without that tweak, it is a problem for Utopia clubs if there is no Utopia nationality.

I have never sensed that there is some nationalism in this game, although I have to point out that the germans are stupid and stink.

After all we are only talking about fixing all those things, because opting for Utopia instead of existing nations was a poor decision in the first place. And those tweaks most likely won't happen soon as there is no manpower and money to get it done. So where do we go from here?
