Topic of the day was what happens if:

When Torooo in Canada or Got Rice? in NEDERLAND or Gachai in Prathet Thai wins both?

From a tournament tree point of view it was designed to have two clubs from each country to be invited to B3 imo...


Give them 2 tournaments to play (5 games per week)

A CL type and then a poor mans version like the UEFA Cup.... can you juggle 5 games and 10 trainees!!!

Lets give it a go!!

Yeah, you are right, but now all we can do is wait to hear from the BBs on what will be done. What happens when the same team wins Cup and League? I vote for the CUP RUNNER-UP to get the 2nd spot from that country in the B3.

I fully agree with you. Why?

1. To be in the Tournament finals it is harder to get there: e.g. 2/512 chance in NEDERLAND. 2/4096 in the USA

2. As for division finalist it will be 2/16 for the top division only.

So to be able to enter in the tournament finals it should be more rewarding than being a finalist of the top division.

3. And thats my closest ticket to go to next B3...;p

I need to win tonights game first and then I will push more forward this idea....heheheh

Sadly, the days of Gachai winning anything in Prathet Thai are coming to a hasty close.
I guess that the tournament runner-up should go if someone does the double. This will keep teams interested in the cup instead of chasing flags. This, of course, is just my opinion.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

The Champions League, at least, is doing this for the extra TV revenues. Why should be doing this in BB? Who will decide which country is 'big' or 'strong' enough for extra members?

​I say, keep it simple and give equal representation for all countries. If nothing else, it is an extra jolt of energy to the leagues that need to catch up with the BB bigs.

Obviously, this game would always result in a win for the first division team, that lost the final. Just let the cup runner-up get into B3, it is way harder to go all the way to te final, such as Rijswijker said previously with the 1/16 vs 1/256 chance.

By adding cup runners up you are just diluting more poorer teams into the equation. If the goal is to find the best team in BB then you need to have pools of teams rather than a direct knockout...

What happens if the 1st round draw next year pits BC Toroo away at Drunkers..... are you telling me that 1 deserves to be knocked out whilst the Cup Runner up in Taiwan gets a home draw to the Cup Runner up in Tunisia (sorry just chose those countries) and one of them progresses....

To use another football analagy what about the FA Cup.... the bigger teams (as determined by a yet to be determined formula) get a bye til a later stage (maybe a group stage) whilst runners up and other teams that are there to help make up the numbers battle it out in a Inter Toto like fashion...

Either way it would be nice to know what the format is so we can plan ahead.....

Why not form an international league structures..... or even create a World Club Cup where points are accumalated over 2 seasons then the top 32/64 teams get to participate every 2 seasons.

It's a real simple solution: if one team wins both competition, the next eligible team in the 'lesser' competition is chosen. In this particular case, this is the finalist in the national tournament. No need to schedule or play extra games. Either way, it would only be fair to have the two teams qualify one from each competition.
