One time I was practicing three-points shooting from my driveway, except that the driveway wasn't really all that big so I had to shoot from the street or from the front lawn, and my brother's friend's mom came to pick him up, the friend that is, and she drove her station wagon onto the driveway and I had to wait for my brother's friend to come out of the house and get in the car and for the car to leave before I could get back to practicing shooting, and while I was waiting I got to thinking about the pole holding up the backboard was leaning forward a lot and that made it harder to shoot from the baseline, not that there was a baseline on the driveway or street, but if there was a baseline in the place where it would be, but the angle of the pole actually made it a little easier to shoot from straight on, except that with the backboard angling down a little it was really hard to go glass, though the backboard was actually fiberglass and regular glass, so I guess that banking a shot in would be called going fiberglass, but the hoop was on the long end of the driveway so that the half-court, which was the driveway, was wide but not even deep enough to have a proper free throw line, and my basketball was lopsided and has poor grip and no air and I couldn't find an air pump and the ball's material was so scratched up that the fibers in the material, whatever it was, made the ball look like it had this fuzz on it, but with all the practicing with this lousy ball on this lousy half-court actually made me a pretty good shooter once I started playing on a better court with a better ball, and I can't remember what my point was going to be about all this, but then again I think that's kind of where this whole tread is going, too...
