Your OD was respectable medium and his perimeter scoring was proficient low. His PG was 10-15 against the small forward you had playing PG. The rest of is team went 4-13. What is your SF's OD?

Please could you explain me why my SF was defending against his PG? The defence is not the sum of the OD of play, guard and SF? Also to be honest it was strange too the % of my PF...
Please let me know this is an interesting point for me, and thanks in advance ;)

as i understand then now game is more dynamic and realistic in gameplay (i dont know if in stats they are correctly). that means that not always your PG will be guarded by opponents PG. in real games players go to help one another sometimes, there are switching and so on.

Its what i said before, if you use a zone your SF will defend sometimes the PG or the SG or SF with 3-2, thats explained on the news and on some posts of the BB. If for example you will be playing looking inside next games and u use a PF as a SF for example and he hasnt a good OD its better to use a defense man to man so he will only defend his SF(against R&G teams), its ''only an example''.

I don't see the problem with that. What did you expect defending in zone with the new engine? Now a zone is a zone, so this will happen very often

Is not difficult to understand my point of view. I had play and guard with more than lvl 10 in OD and only the SF with lower OD. It means that all the 3 points shot taken by his PG were against my SF? If so I had bad luck. At the end it seems better to defend man by man instead of make the right choice.

Thanks anyway for the explaination, it is really strange to understand why my SF decided to defend always again his PG and honestly it is also really strange to understand why Mazzurana scored with more than 50% against an NT Indonesian player and against an U21 Italian NT player (and if you wanna consider also the SF, against a player sold for 5m).

It's no easy to say something without knowing the skills of the players. That's why I try to be prudent about games of teams I don't know.

So what I can't say about my own games is that this time, the engine is much better than the first version, at least playing 2/3 zone and man to man. It's the first game, so we have to see how all the posibilities works.

I'm sure there are a lot of games with the old engine that made you cracy (who don't, xd), so let's wait to see if we can get use to it. I'm sure there are people who dislikes this new engine who would love it in the future and, on the contrary, people who thinks today that it's much better, would miss the old one if they lose a couple of games.

One thing to keep in mind in a zone is that players aren't stupid and aren't going to take well gaurded shots so just as in m2m you see your weaker defenders defend more shots, in a zone you will see weaker defenders/areas exploited. A zone will work well for you if it hides your weaknesses and your opponent is not equipped either tactically or personell wise to take advantage

Sorry for the vague explanation. What I meant was that your PG for the game, Pacifici, is listed as a small forward. Because of this I assumed his OD would be slightly lower than a traditional PG. I didn't watch your game, so I don't know who he scored against, but their PG had a great game. He went for 50. What are you gonna do?

And as far as your SF for the game, Marchignoli, you gotta expect a player of Lamache's quality to be looking to take it to an 18 year old with a salary of $4150 a week. Especially in a 3-2 zone where he is responsible for guarding a wing by himself.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
