Well OK with that, but people have to agree on casual and not casual. Because it's easy to think the BB are doing nothing when one guy say West and the other say East :/

Id be extremely hesitant to speed up the game or make it dumber.

Those issues havent drawn consensus in this thread nor will they.

Issues like;
minimising the dominance of LI,
releasing Apps,
eroding the financial benefits of tanking a little,
making training more appealing (without speeding it up) as opposed to buying cheap 33yo

These are the issues where there has been more of a consensus, that could be addressed

Yeah.... Didn't think about the farm teams....

But, that would help Wolph's witch hunt on farm teams...

Though thinking further on it and off of the other guys comments.

The programming involved in it would outweigh the benefits.

So how are you going to attract new players if somebody has to wait at least a calendar year to moveto the next division? Why don't we ask for more teams to be promoted and relegated? Eg three teams per division instead of one out of 16.

Since money can bring investments on improvements and improvements are making the game better so more players will come, why don't we make supporter more attractive? Or go for semi and full supporter fee?

Instead of sharing all these ideas in a forum is there any way that a committee can collect, review and approve those ideas and make them happen?

I am just thinking loudly from the business perspective of how to make the game more popular...

Hi,

I'd like to change the implementation of a MAJOR RULE change to start charging me a tax for being over the salary cap which has been implemented with NO NOTICE. This is very poor as most good teams have already purchased their players ready for the new season and if they have funds available to over spend on talent have already purchased the talent.

very poor

JB

From the season 25 announcement:
To encourage managers to build a team that can operate within its means, we’re introducing a “fair play” rule into the financial system that gives teams an incentive to keep their salaries in line with that which they earn in in a given week. We’re still fine-tuning the details, but we’ll be introducing this into the game at the start of the next season.

Three months is awful short notice.

My team will be majorly affected by this and I tend to agree that perhaps 3 weeks instead of one might have been more appropriate so as to stop the market being flooded and Managers being adversly affected by the introduction phase of this rule.

Personally id like to see what my "teams allowable limit" is (I have trained several players) and also know what % rate the tax will be in advance of making a sale or acquisition.

That all said I actually like this implementation even though it will affect me in the short term.

In particular I like the fact that salaries are worked out at the rate that you acquire a player at, thus giving a major incentive for teams to train.
It also helps make the leagues more level, thus meaning that salary efficient players & use of tactics have more worth.

It should also be noted that the idea of taxing teams that have unsustainable high players salaries and preventing low division teams from acquiring players is something that has widely been recommended previously.

As a Sentimental Manager Id like to keep long term players "through the aging process and the drop off of skills", who have been loyal to the team, even if they havent been trained by me.

Id like the allowable salary to be calculated on which ever is lower (their salary when you brought them or their current salary) for each player in the team, so that it makes it easier to keep old favourite players on the rosters of their current long term managers.

My initial reaction to Game Day Prep is why, in that I would have thought winding back the actual dominance of LI in the game engine would have been better than just giving additional benefits to predicting an opposing teams tactics.

However I will keep an open mind and recognise that it is an attempt to address the problem of LI dominance

At this point, we normally announce upcoming changes, but, this season, we decided to do something a bit different. In an effort to improve communication with the BB’s, we’re going to start working more closely with the community to prioritize and design changes to the game. This will take many faces: for starters, we’ll be hosting more user polls in BB-Global, where you will have the chance to get involved in the process and to help us to decide what the upcoming changes would be.

Until this point, there has been a lot of the behind-the-scenes work in the community that generally goes unnoticed, and we wanted to start making that a bit more public. In addition to the Game Masters (who have the “GM-” prefix behind their name), we have several Executive Game Masters who help manage the GM’s and LA’s and communicate daily with the BB’s about new features, reports of cheating, and community dynamics. They’ve done a stellar job so far, and BuzzerBeater wouldn’t be the same without them. By making this more public, we also want to anoint them as official community representatives of the BB’s in the forums. So, please welcome me and the other BB’s in officially promoting EGM-Nickleon and EGM-Perpete to their new, official role on the team!

Applause to GMs Nickleon and Perpete for their promotion as I believe that they both deserve it and it helps recognise the vital roles that they have played.

I like the idea that more opportunities through polls will be generated so as to get feedback from the people who play the game, but I still feel that this could go further and that the likes of Survey Monkey could be used to email new players and players who have left the game so as to get feedback from these key stakeholders who I dont believe will

Go to your Economy page and hover your mouse over the Overextension Tax line in your Baseline Weekly Economy and you'll see a breakdown of your total revenue, expenses, training exception, the amount you're extended, tax rate and tax total.

Thank you, wow 50%, is that per week?

I still dont know because my attendances will be lower this season having gone down a division.

%50 is heaps, all the more reason to give an extra week or 2, so that the market is not flooded.

Will be a massive change that will really shake up the higher divisions, where it has become less common for Managers to train.

Many of these teams will now be at a massive disadvantage against teams in lower divisions who have established players that they have trained
