Well this thread has certainly come off the rails. Let's get it back to the topic at hand and avoid all of the personal attacks, otherwise it won't be long and the thread will be closed.

Personally I think there has been some great discussion and ideas on how BB is faultering and what can be done to fix it. Back to that...

I think there are a huge number of reasons people quit, the main one for new players is the length of time it can take to learn the game, which I think the mentor scheme can help. I know when I first joined I didnt fully understand the game, started losing and then left.

Giving new sign ups a bb-mail of an established player or something when they sign up could be good, just for a friendly message and to answer any questions new sign ups inevitably have.

I know lots of leagues have bot teams and some people just dont like public posting but I do think if forums were more active it would help, to keep people engaged in BB.

At the end of the day though Buzzerbeater takes lots of time and patience that many people dont have

I just won again my V league aaand... BB give me 200.000 as a bonus! Woah, what a huge accomplishment, with 200.000 i can buy a beer for all of my players!

Fact is, you have to waste all of your time training perimeter players. Don't waste your time training bigs, they are USELESS in this game. Unfortunately in my very first draft I got "lucky" and I found an awesome center and then proceed to draft another great center and a very strong PF. Fact is that my center ate up all of my money so I went on and trade him... for something like 400.000 or 500.000 when perimeters peer are sold for something around 1.000.000... that's it, don't train bigs, or you are screwed.

Maybe if you ask in a different way people in this game will tell you why you don´t know how to train players for profit.

I right now see this theme and I want to write something abut this game :)
I play this game from 22.01.2010 and I very love this game. I love this game because she is very hard, it is not simple to get a lot of money, buy good players, build arena and so on.... for all that you need TIME. I think that for new manager will be inspiring if you made something like "Hall of fame" manager on BuzzerBeater all time (from 2007 to right now). Make list of 10 the best manager ever in BB world. And maybe (how some other games work) when new user log in on game to send them message whit little advice how to play this game, what is important, where can find more information...
