I just won again my V league aaand... BB give me 200.000 as a bonus! Woah, what a huge accomplishment, with 200.000 i can buy a beer for all of my players!

Fact is, you have to waste all of your time training perimeter players. Don't waste your time training bigs, they are USELESS in this game. Unfortunately in my very first draft I got "lucky" and I found an awesome center and then proceed to draft another great center and a very strong PF. Fact is that my center ate up all of my money so I went on and trade him... for something like 400.000 or 500.000 when perimeters peer are sold for something around 1.000.000... that's it, don't train bigs, or you are screwed.

Maybe if you ask in a different way people in this game will tell you why you don´t know how to train players for profit.

I right now see this theme and I want to write something abut this game :)
I play this game from 22.01.2010 and I very love this game. I love this game because she is very hard, it is not simple to get a lot of money, buy good players, build arena and so on.... for all that you need TIME. I think that for new manager will be inspiring if you made something like "Hall of fame" manager on BuzzerBeater all time (from 2007 to right now). Make list of 10 the best manager ever in BB world. And maybe (how some other games work) when new user log in on game to send them message whit little advice how to play this game, what is important, where can find more information...

I guess I'll chime in here to the points that have been brought up many times. Why not give my 2 cents on the actual topic.

1. BB is struggling to get it's name out, so lots of people who just join and never login don't exist on BB anymore.
2. When people look at the forums if they're new and they see that the user size has been reduced in half in about 3 years, they don't know if it's worth investing (donating) or even spending their time on the site. Sad, but true.
3. The user number will eventually plateau. Although it seems bad right now, lots of us are still here and are active, so that's a plus (yes I know this has been stated).
4. As bad as I look as a manager, I've been here for a while. And I just finally understood why the game is so good. It took me forever, but I realized training is actually fun rather than thinking I found a stud because he had legendary jump shot and was 33 years old. My point here is that some people really struggle to understand the game and it's all about patience, this isn't 2k, you can't just simulate. I spent 3 months tutoring my friend on BB, and I'm proud.
5. Kind of piggy backs from #4, but I really think there should be a summary you're directed to (NOT THE MANUAL) when you first login about how leagues work, players, training, and all of the other stuff. I dont remember what the warm welcome is for BB when you join other than the manager checklist (hooray.) and I really think it would be amazing for BB to get volunteers who speak the language of whoever joins to send a new person a message offering them help and telling them about the forums. I know you get an auto mated message from someone when you first join, but seeing some kind of auto - message from someone like EBW (first active person I could think of) saying something about the forums and how BB is a slow paced patience game.

Those are my views... Looking back at it I really rambled on 5 and basically made a suggestion. Oops.

Hello Guys... i just want to share my experience with the game and give a personal point of view about what could be good...

this is my third team in the game, the game is awesome i find it interesting, difficult and the moat important thing... Funny!!! however it's popularity is decreasing fast. So the new ppl find it... boring... difficult to understand the basics, and is not fun when u dont have ppl to pkay against, here in colombia there are just 42 active teams... for me is bored to play against bots... so that keeps taking your attention away of the game.

So for me if they want to boost the incoming of new players. They need to work hard in the development of an app. the ppl now loves to use a tablet or a cellphone rather than a pc. BB is akready great and packed in an app would take the game to every person willing to install it and discover this. The mentor option comes here! trying to catch the attention of the player.

Im just a dreamer..
who loves the game..

Thx for the time..
and excuse me for my extremly poor english i jusr wanted to show my opinion. Good Luck for everyone.
