Why not just scrap user numbers and not show them altogether or add like 10 000, who is going to be bothered and check.

That's easy, Manon. People who care about playing this game don't want to see it disappear. We would like to see it resurrected. Declining numbers may be the only thing that convinces Marin to make changes of a magnitude that matter and not just diddle around.
