My favorite basketball related quote:

"Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh."

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I don't mind the current ones but agree with the people who said they should rotate.

I actually think the internet game quote is funny. I didn't at first, but I used that "made for Tv" voice. You know, "Chopping my eggs is such a pain." or "Isn't there an easier way to store my plastic bags?"

The other one blows.

Try:

"You won't believe how addictive this game is! It's like coffee for your brain."

"My wife doesn't know about my affair with BuzzerBeater. If she did, it may end up being a threesome."

That seems reasonable - any suggestions for what we might do instead?

I really am happy to change this, but I'm looking for some better suggestions.

There was the suggestion to use actual quotes that are funny, and rotate them -- which sounds decent. There is already several of them used in different sections of the site, another handful was posted in this thread, and I am sure Google some more can be googled easily.

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

I think they both have to be serious, or they both have to be funny. Especially given the room for interpretation when reading. One and one could backfire quicker than that "stimulus" bill good ol' GWB did before he left office.
