the classic tactics (LP, LI) are about where but new tacs (iso) are about whom.
when we play e.g. LP players try to shot as inside as they can.
but when use iso players leave the player who has the ball alone with his def to use his def weak point and play a shot or drive.
but there is sth important, we are not alone at offense, there are 5 defenders there in the court who have effects!
I saw a game that one team had played LP, their guards made over 50% of whole scores. why? because the inside players of the other team were good enough to defend their peers but the perimeters not.
why we have outside tries when we play inside? it's clear, when we get in trouble at inside we cho0se to pass out to open up the play wich called "inside-out" in pro basketball, so we may have an open shot and it's why we may have superior % of perimeters made shots when we play inside.
so why we have a huge number of outside shots while we play inside iso in compare with LP? it's obvious! when we iso an inside player where are we? clearly outside! so we have more outside chance because 4 men are out and probably open!
