Wait, do you want to say that having your defensive center and IS 1 guard on the floor at the same time hurt your offensive production, but when your IS 7 guard was there to join, everything was better?

no i meant the offense was at the same level independent from the IS of the guards, but i noticed differences with the IS of the Cs.

For some managers it could be really tough task if they have just 100 skillpoints ;-) I think more about players like 130 skillpoints.

Then strangely IS doesn't help a guard to score better in Look inside? Weird...

I guess Patient then is the prime tactics for guards with good IS. Look at this game: (36611561). My 4.7k rookie was guarded by a 15k guard. The rookie had these offensive stats at the time of the game:

JS 4, JR 5
DR 7, HA 6
IS 7

And he shot 14-29, which is a great percentage for Patient. Looking at the game closely with moutlinho's game analyzer, I can see his shot choices were:

7 tough inside shots
1 layup
3 driving layups
10 dunks
4 fade-away/hook shots

So out of 32 shots (he was fouled on 3 of them), he took 25 of those where IS comes in handy. So to hell with Look inside, I'm playing Patient

Aight..hehe..but he was at least one manager who understood that 100 Skillpoints are not enough to build a elite, bone chrushing PF.
So, he decided to build a offensive beast that is a way better PF as the other well rounded dudes that was showin at the start of the thread. Put his guy next to a defensiv beastin Center and its workin.

Take a look at my dude..a offensive niiiiiiightmare, but only a piece and not the franchise :-)

Jump Shot: sensational Jump Range: proficient
Outside Def.: proficient Handling: proficient
Driving: prominent Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: stupendous Inside Def.: marvelous
Rebounding: prolific Shot Blocking: inept
Stamina: strong ↑ Free Throw: sensational

Experience: average

Cheerio

Totally
I seen just so many threads and so many discussions with people talking about how 'all you need is pump up bigs and run LI' and I just get annoyed. Its like they are living in lala land. LI has little to nothing to do with the bigs IS. Recently I was running LI and my guards just destroyed the opponent...and not just with inside shots but dishes and outside shots too. Won a playoff game where my SG had 14 assists, most dishes to the PG.

Just an anecdotal observation, but I definitely agree with you on the importance of passing. My guys have very little inside (or, for that matter, outside) shooting ability even relative to my division level, but because my inside players generally have better passing than the OD of the guys guarding them, there stlil seems to be quite a lot of cases where one interior player feeds it to another interior player for an uncontested shot. I imagine if my wingmen could shoot, a lot of the pop out passes would probably be hit as well. Plus it's always nice to see a PF or C passing it to an open guard taking it to the hoop.
