I wanted to get some people's opinions on this.
Do you guys think it would be cool if buzzerbeater added player tendencies like for example say I have a shooting guard and he has low JS but a high IS his tendency in game would be to drive the lane. Or maybe there is a point guard with a tendency to shoot threes in a game over passing. Or a point guard that passes over shooting and his tendency would be pass first. You probably get my point. Do you guys think that would add a deeper aspect to the game like if you want to build a team of slashers that just drive and cut you can because of player tendencies (meaning all your players have a tendency to drive). Just wanted your opinions.
Thanks!,

Too difficult to impliment and its already that way to some extent but based on skills. Players currently play to their strenghts or at the very least to avoid their weaknesses the best they can and thus have tendencies already.

Fun idea but wont happen.

I just want to take the time to say Sam Lange for MVP. The team plays so different with him there

Gerber with a huge 43 point game after last weeks poor play.
Think it's the 2nd most points score this season

it isn't, but still looks impressive since you didn't use patient tactics.

CPU managed teams pick 100% randomly.

It really comes down to how likely you think you'll get your pick after 15 random picks.

Even if you found 5 prospects you like you'd probaby only get 1 of those anyway so its likely a waste. Personally, I think you already have a great trainee and would save points for a future draft or pour that scouting money into your arena.

I personally would scout a ton. Computers are random and stupid so they have a very slim chance of grabbing the player you want. Also, you most likely wont get one of the lowest picks when you promote again to D.IV (Or at least i would hope you wouldn't). In IV you will get around a 5th-10th pick when you promote again I think. Due to this I would scout a ton in your V. league because you wont have a good opportunity until you promote to D.III quite a few seasons from now. D.V managers also tend to not know what they are doing when they are scouting so your chances are pretty decent at getting back to back good draftees.

Whereas I agree that most D.V teams dont know what they are doing and you wont have a great pick any time in the near future I still disagree with E.B.W here.

To illustrate why lets say you have enough points to fully scout the draft class and find the best draftee. Furthermore, lets assume the 2 live managers in your league invest absolutely nothing into the draft and therefore all of the other 15 teams will draft randomly.

Come draft day the #1 pick has a 1 in 48 shot (or 2.08%) of drafting your prospect by pure luck. Assuming he doesnt draft him then the #2 overall pick has a 1 in 47 shot (roughly 2.12%) of drafting the player you want. Assume this continues through to the 15th pick who then has a 1 in 34 (or 2.94%) chance of stealing your pick. Obviously the chances of someone randomly drafting the best player are really low; less than 3% but when you add all of those together to determine the chance that he is drafted prior to your pick you find that it equals 36.99%.

Now, there is still an above average chance you get your guy (about 63%) but you'll need to invest a ton to find that perfect draftee and a bit of luck to ensure he's there for you to grab.

I think saving the points so you can better scout a future draft class when your pick is higher and you can lower that chance of him being drafted before your pick is the optimal strategy. In the end you have to make the call, thats the beauty of being a general manager. :)

and this is even without mentioning the crapshoot that the draft is. There are drafts that only have or two good 18 yr olds. I would continue training and investing that money in your arena. It will pay up once you promote.
