Yup, well done Toranaga.

Hey... just out of interest: what's your Merchandise at?

Surely if you're going to change tactics, you'd have to change the skillset of the players you're using...

Going to have 3 replies here :D

League Averages from Last Week
Merchandise: $ 75 900

But this is affected by the 1/2 awake teams. More interesting to compare with FCTB, NKRK, Swoosh, Stunners, KW, KIT etc......

Baseline Weekly Economy
Merchandise: $ 134 742

Week before was $145k, don't think I have broken $150k. I also get a fair gate.

#1 disagree. 6 teams always 100% concentrating for ever.
FCTB, NKRK, Stunners, Swoosh, KIT & me.
3 teams recently joined at the same or better level
KW, MMM, KA-BOOM.
3 other teams in the Great 8 that can get upsets.

12/16 teams can beat anyone under the right circumstances.

#2 it was a great game & you get respect for trying something different. I also did 2 things I thought were clever but I think they have gone under the radar lol I guess everyone will figure them out now.

#3 I haven't hurt my team, MMM may want $20m in the bank but $4-6m are fine for me, what else do I want the $ for? I want a decent team while the guys I trained are in their prime. Passing? Forget Sonada the rest have average + passing & the guards are almost all sensational ++.

#4 I am overpaying, double maybe triple in some cases but I am also helping the NT, I train my NT guys & keep them in top GS unlike lots of foreign owners.

You certainly beat me in JR & average SB (although I have 1 freak & 1 solid) but I wouldn't be sure about PA, sure Shirzi probably has 18-20 but x average GS & he is down at Lahovc's wondrous level. I beat that.

It is a big test running Kishita in a LI team but so far he is 55%FG (even playing 1 game at SF), he has massive holes but it sure makes his salary much, much lower :D

Agreed on the "dead league" thing (in that I disagree it's "dead").
I think the nation's probably about where it's always been, and as far as active teams go - JBBL's probably similar (if not better) to what it's always been.
I do think you're doing a good job Toranaga - I envy your all Japan team, and I've been slowly adding pieces. Suenami's as old as the hills, but he's still a useful bench guy. K-Mat and Bird are going to be key for me... and both Japanese. Yay.

My deal this season is training my guys. Over everything else. Secondaries for K-Mat/Tim, and that means primaries for the Birdman (which has YC licking his chops!). I should have done this a while ago, but I'm probably in the best position to do it... and it will fit in well with the Birdman too.
The only way I take on another trainee at the moment would be if something appeared that made me want to sell Tim.

This league is so weak you can pay over 100k a week in salary to a guard with 8 PA and not be phased by it. Do you know what happens to a 8PA GUARD against any kind of real OD??? This only works if 1/2 the teams you play in your regular schedule are bots or tanking the game for training or something else.

I guess you are talking about the bum I am trying to sell(for weeks it seems), You should just tell him thank you for the TV money and be done with it. The TV money is the only reason he is on my team and I refuse to lose money on this bum.

Not quite what you said Wolph. You can change your definition now, but what you SAID was that the league's dead. That is what Toranaga/I are disagreeing with.
There's a very, very big difference between "dead" and "not competitive". I'd argue that those of us taking a season off are more *active* than some of those who are trying to compete.
