Since points differential is the first tie breaker, it might also be helpful for that too...

Well, there is a way fot doing that.

Simply select your starting lineup without reserves/backups. The 5 will play 48 minutes.

What you ppl are asking is a safe way of doing this - after all, a foul blowout or an injury would screw. But there's always te possibility of selecting 6 players - making one of them a universal backup.

Not giving your players any rest during a game is an almost guaranteed way not to win by as much as possible.

As the point difference is the first tie-breaker, there should be a possibility to make your coach trying to win with as many points as possible. Why do you have to do "tricks" like no reserves with an additional risk (injury, foul trouble) to achieve that? It just doesn´t make sense that your coach gets your reserve playing the last quarter because your team will win anyway and your team then ends up in position 5 instead of reaching the playoffs just because of that stupid engine...

Five proficient stamina players can't handle 48 minutes against a weak team? Pshw.

They certainly can, even more likely to happen if the coach would use all of his timeouts (but he won't in blowouts).

Why to make an obvious best choice for everyone then? On NT level where it matters more sicne there are not that many matches per group every sane NT manager would choose that when it matters. Now they can do that to it is just not that obvious and it has some downsides depending on structure and balance of the team.

Last season I finished eighth and was automatically relegated, despite winning my last game of the season by 12 points - against the seventh placed team. I ended up missing out on seventh place (and thus a relegation playoff, and the chance of survival in the first division) by only a 14 points difference. In other words, if I had won by 20 instead of 12 then our positions would have been reversed.

I played CT to try to win the final game by the biggest possible margin, but once my team had achieved the desired 20 point lead, the coach rested my starters and so the lead was cut again, even though I was screaming at the coach to keep playing at full intensity. Coach was presumably happy with a 12 point win. I was miserable.

A tactical option to turn off the 'resting' and go all out for the biggest possible win would be useful in situations like this, and would do no harm to those who don't want to use it.
