Mad props on getting to the postseason. As I see it the remaining drama is in the blues where the General's and Shockers will battle to the bitter end for that final slot. I think our schedule gives the fellas the upper hand but next week's battle in Wichita will tell the tale.

Also I think the battle to avoid the cellar in club red is compelling like watching someone get sent thru a wood chipper, you don't want to look but you can't turn away. At the top of the table silent has become deadly as the supplications have made them a Juggernaut. Hydro might hang onto HCA but if the apples are healthy the title is a faint accompli.

Tonight our homage to the cinema selections of '77 continues as in honor of our colleagues from down east who are bound for relegation we will barbeque their ass in molasses https://youtu.be/OpkXQ28c0Fg

And on Saturday with the claws a cult classic https://youtu.be/Q1pPXOBHkbA

The question this week is how much enthusiasm will be put into our efforts. The good thing is a split should settle matters. But much like the Lions the Generals have left a couple on the table. And much like the Lions they struggle on the road.

And to conclude our summer of '77 cinematic foray the Generals will attempt to ice the final postseason slot by showing they truly do not give a puck... https://youtu.be/MUuEWI6F3dQ

Yeah the decision to give a solid baseline effort was made about 20 minutes prior to game time. Figured it was best not to leave anything to chance. Baring a brain fart by sparty four is where we finish. Another season in perpetual twilight, time to crank out a week of GS in an effort to get our guys minds right for the difficult task of taking on the dogs. Next season once again management faces the laws of diminishing returns. I've got a couple of guys who I can still build into serviceable pieces, but it will mean placing ourselves back into the danger zone as their windows will be starting to slowly close.

With the playoffs about begin, my newly promoted kitties are thrilled to just be in the playoffs, and thus will be around next season in III.5. I know my guys will get crushed in the 1st round, by Cheek, but I accomplished what I wanted this season - all about survival.

Will have to update my predictions - a few weeks ago said that Tetra would take the Great 8 title and also the league title. But with Cheektowaga now in the top spot, and facing an easy thumping of my team, while Tetra has to battle the apples, I give the conference title to the home team - Cheek, who will also end up taking the league title.

Heck, I was wrong about two weeks ago - who is to stay my guess this time around is any better?

Good luck to all in the playoffs, and hope to face many of you again next season.

I will stick with my prognostication of the apples bringing it home. Though hitting the road makes the endeavor much dicier. But in the end talent wins out, and they have the most talent.

As the old saying goes if it's and buts we're candy and nuts then everyday would be Christmas and the General's would have a slightly more manageable assignment. It's been a roller coaster ride, but we are not ready to just lay down. The dogs are prohibitive favorites, I would put the line at about 13. But we have grit, pluck, passion and heart. Of course as another old saying goes, everyone has a plan until they get hit. But I do have a level of confidence that we can keep it close and if there is one thing I have learned in this game is if it's close anything can happen.

If you check the NBBA thread then you will see our motivational tactics at work. Though for the ride over from the team hotel it will be this which will serve as entertainment and more motivation https://youtu.be/zDex9wyPy3Y

And before we hit the course a final dose of motivational medicine

With the kitties making a quick exit from the playoffs, this appears to be the player's mindset, heading into the off-season:

This season really flew by. As for the finals, the Dogs are stout but https://youtu.be/9Uc3V8NxKWw Apple is just going to be too much, they are really making a mockery of the situation. I believe they are (as the kids say nowadays) trolling. So much so that on Saturday night right about the middle of the 4th the Apple supporters might be breaking out in full throat into the following. https://youtu.be/gkTb9GP9lVI
