Seems like 50% for week for sure. I agree that it'll adjust the balance in the upper leagues - I think the intention is as much to make teams that overspend burn through their money that much faster. I just wish I could sell some of my excess training exemption - I've got just over 170k but I don't have the financial resources at this point to actually use that up.


Im the opposite, having just dropped down from 1st Division I actually upped my roster a little with the intention of selling down in about 3 or so weeks when I thought I might have won the fans back on side.

Long term the game will be better for the changes IMO, but it is a major change that has been "not leaked or discussed" prior that will have major affects on many many Managers.

In retrospect it could have been announced a season a head of its introduction.

That said despite the "world is doomed impact" that it will have on some Managers, long term I believe that the change will be good will be good for the game, making it more fun to play

So there is a tax on spending more than I make? If I am buying players to prep for moving up I have to pay a tax on that? Doesn't this give teams in the upper tier an advantage over the ones promoting?

Except in Cup games, you are not competing against teams in an upper league.

I believe that it makes it easier for teams promoting (but that is just my opinion)

The current strategy was tank, build up a bank balance and when you had the biggest bank balance in a league, you go for it.

This change effectively puts salary caps on each Division, making competition more even in each Division, thus IMO making it easier for newly promoted teams to compete.

No, because all the teams vying for promotion are in the same division and not competing for the spots available to move up into.

If I am building a team to promote my team salary might be more than I make in my current division so I pay a tax on it. If I stayed within my current division salary when I promote I will have to improve my team to compete(most likely) This means the teams that are there have an advantage. I don't like the idea of this tax.

This tax however will be really great for this game and will make the competition within each Division more equal

If and when that happens, then buy after you move up.

Agreed that before playoffs, maintaining/obtaining a more expensive roster will be harder.
1) GS reduced after buying
2) Tax

As for the "advantage", no more than before, as the clubs in the higher division have their own expenses and possible tax to deal with too.

A funny thing about this new salary limit for lower ranked teams.

Imagine a mono skilled 200k center. Now he would rather retire, than join a div IV team. Really? He would walk away from 200k salary? I don't think so, unless one of the Kardashians screwed his brain :)

Well if he is being paid 200K a week, one would assume that he is already rich and as a result of his "well renowned status" from being a highly paid elite basketballer, he may also have other income streams outside of basketball.

To go play for a lowly Div IV team, may damage his image and reputation, which may adversly affect these other income streams, thus meaning that he is better off not to accept a contract from a low Division team.
