Dear all,

i'd like to remind everyone that it's forbidden to advertise players. The only people who can advertise players are the current U21/NT coach ( not their staf!! that means that only Srez and mzungu can advertise a player at this moment)

Futhermore, i'd like to remind you that all that to advertise a player, the player has to be in the U21/NT squad for during the sale. (In other words, the player HAS to have a flag in his avatar during the whole sale)

Prospects who aren't in the U21/NT, can't be publicly advertised (No names, no links, no ID's, no skills). What is tolerated tho, is that the U21/NT coach can say that their is a great Centre/Guard/Forward prospect on the TL, and he can ask people to contact him by mail for more details.

Needless to say. NT coach advertises only the NT players, U21 coach advertises only the U21 players.

regards

GM-Revo

i respect your position as GM and i respect the fact that you want to follow the rules 101% correctly, but please impose these exact same rules on the german, austrian and all the other non english language forums too

i dont know if you speak german, i do, and i know that since i have been playing this game, talking about and offering future potential NT players and U21 players has not only been accepted by GMs from these respective countries, but they have actively participated in these forums and I am quite sure this same thing is happening in all the other non english language communities.

please either give us the rights to discuss future NT and U21 players, not selling them, but discuss them on these forums, transfer listed or not, or please impose the same non inforced rules on all the other language communities too, because allowing this in one country and not in the other, very clearly gives a very big advantage or disadvantage...

I'll see what i can do about that. However, i do speak English, French and Dutch and i keep an eye on those communities. The GM's job is to make sure everybody follows the rules. The rules for advertising concerning U21/NT players have been unclear for me for over 8 seasons ( ever since i was NT coach myself, i have been wondering about it). I've only recently gotten a clear answer on what is allowed and what not. Not many GM's gave me the correct answer in the past, so i'm assuming many aren't sure themselves. But rest assured, i'll try and get things fixed so that it is the same everywhere ( it say's nothing about advertising in the game manual, or atleast, not in the translated ones, so that will probably be the part where we'll have to start it up)

That is up to their Mod's, LA's and GM's to take care of it. I'll futher ask something about it in the GM fora too. However, since England doesn't have a GM, LA or a Mod as far as i know of ( LA-Niko does translation to english UK, but he lives in Australia and haven't seen him very active on your fora) then someone ( any BB-staff member for that matter) has to inform you about the rules if they aren't clear. That part has now been done.

Never said i revoked that right. However, discussing futur players in a topic where U21/NT manager can advertise his selling players, is it the right place to do so? Futhermore, someone put sup the skills of a player, after which he decides to sell that player a week or 2 later. Links are on the forum, with name and everything, and altho it might not have been his intention, he has put his player with name and link in the advertising topic of the U21/NT and is selling him, which would be classified as advertising. So to avoid that, do your discussing in another topic and leave this topic open for the U21/NT coach for when their players are on the TL. If you don't mention a word about a prospect being on the TL in the discussion futur U21/NT topic, then you've clearly seperated the advertising topic and the futur U21/NT discussion topic and then all is good for me.

For the record:

i've asked for this rule to be clarified (as in added to the Game Manual). I've suggested that a re-evalution of the rule might be needed (altho i understand the current rule because it's draws a clear line about who can and cannot be evaluated). Once i've got some feedback on it, i'll inform whatever decision was taken (altho you should be able to read it in the game manual once it has been cleared out)

For now, i'd like to request everyone to follow the rule as mentioned above untill futher notice. I understand you might find it unfair and unpractical but for now, that is the rule. If GM's start ignoring some small things, then you got to wonder were the line will be drawn about following the rules or not. i've done what i can in terms of asking for it to be added (and possibly re-evaluated) to the game manual. If for whatever reason, the rule is altered, i'd like to appologize in advance for any uncomfort that might have been experienced. But as a GM, i'm supposed to uphold the rules and remind people of them whenever i see they are broken. that is one of the things that GM's are supposed to do (aswell as Mod's but i unsure if England had any mods...)

Regards

Revo

can we just not start up a thread "good english players up for grabs?"
that way anyone can post english guys of interest (even just to get a discussion going!) and if anyone posts any players not worthy im sure we will all give them our opinion saying so?
if any are worthy of NT mention then the coach can post or repost the player etc
clarifying the rules would be worthwhile. i also think it is unjust to try to enforce a rule you arent clear on (though i understand its not your fault!)

I'm clear on the rule about advertising Fluff. However, i had to double check it, cause i couldn't find it in the game manual. I've asked the senior GM's and BB's, and the rule is the one i copy pasted from their forum to make it clear here.

As for your suggestion: "Good english players up for grabs"

Hate to say it, but if someone is on the TL, you can't discuss about em, cause that is advertising. As much as you'd like it or not, it remains advertising. However, if you were to start a topic to discuss players in general, that aren't on the TL, then their is no problem what so ever. However, discussing a player who's on the TL, will mean that attention is drawn to him by using the forum, which comes down to advertising. If you want to discuss players who are on the TL, you'll have to do it somewhere else than on the BB fora, cause the forum rules state pretty clearly that advertising is not allowed.

Should be noted that i haven't fined anyone or issued any warnings for having advertised players on the TL, because the rule wasn't to be found in the Game Manual ( something i've asked the BB's to fix). Ofcourse, now the rule has been clearly posted, you don't have the excuse not to follow it.

ok revo. like i said, i respect your decision to clamp down on the english forums, but monday when I have more time I will contact the senior BB staff.

i am pleased you take your job serious, but if the 3 or 4 posts that we post about players get so seriously attacked, than the 1000s of posts on the german forum and the hundreds on the austrian forum and the for sure many on the italian, spanish etc forums should be closed immediately as well. they are still open as off today and it seems you didnt do your job well enough because I addressed this to you several times before and if you really feel so passionate about the rules than you should do something about this too...
