S19 Consolation Game 5 : Singapore crushed depleted home team Lithuania 103-79

Rare occasion. An expected tough road games for Singapore turned out to be the opposite.

After tied 48-48 on halftime, Singapore used the midway of 3rd quarter to take over the lead. And with Lithuanian only bigman, Benjaminas Tauscikas, fouled out, Singapore started the rout of home team, scored 32-16 at 4th to finish the game at 103-79. Ip Kai Chung was strong on 4th, scoring a baseline jumper, then a brilliant steal over Manigirdas Trumpius led for Pang Jun Wai breakaway dunk, capped the lead at 87-71. Lithuania hardly recover, and had to play with Singapore reserves at the end of the game.

Lithuania were missing several of key bigmen, as it shown very obvious the European juggernaut were outrebounded 58-39.

Ang Han Yao led Singapore with 23pts & 8rebs, Ahmad Islam & Rumi each scored 16, Sun Qingxian scored 12, and Ip-Man scored 11pts (5-7 FG) 7assits & 3steals.

Singapore will be back home to host Cyprus U21 on next week

S19 Consolation Game 6 : Cyprus scoreless at 1st quarter, Singapore bull ahead for 104-38 win.

The most appropriate to describe tonight's game, is, spirits comes from nowhere.

Placed as starter, Teo Han Da made immediate impact with his high energy that energized the team defense, which powered to a stunning 31-0 first quarter over Cyprus. Although being outscored 20-16 on 2nd, Singapore didn't stop attacking on 2nd half, made the game become one sided with 66 points victory.

Ahmad Islam & Ang Han Yao each scored 23 pts for Singapore. Sun Qingxian has 19pts and 8assts.

Still on favorable schedule, Singapore will host Bahamas U21 on next week Monday.

Yeah. Next gane shd be a breather before facing the nemesis Kazakhstan. Its always have to sweat when playing them. Nice win for msia too..and with less effort...

S19 Consolation Game 7 : Merlion ousted "three-men" Bahamas 152-45

All crowds were stunned by Bahamas Adam Parker 3pointer right after 5 seconds of tipoff, and after that, it was all about race by Singapore players for higher PD advantage.

Muhammad bin Jantan led 10 scorers in double digit with 22pts, and seldom-used wingmen Mohd Abu Bakar even seen an occasion, scored 20pts with 4ast and 4rebs.

With Singapore last game vs Kazakhstan on the line next week, Singapore hope that their Defensive Ace Ng Huat will be back to shape quickly. Ng Huat just recovered from 28 days injury since March 3rd.

S19 Consolation Game 8 : Merlions ended Consolation Preliminary with 93-69 victory over Kazkhstan

Although final game, Singapore didn't slack around on the court. Instead, they left Kazakhstan homecourt with the largest victory margin.

As expected, Kazakhstan played hard and very poised on both ends. After a tight 1st quarter, Singapore slowly extend the margin to eight points lead, closed the half with 42-33. On 3rd quarter, Kazakhstan hustling play still won't let Lion squad to run over the game, but Ip Kai Chung superb defensive and Pang Jun Wai tenacious basket slashing play has fueled 8-0 run between 3rd and 4th quarter, made the lead ballooned to 20pts. Both team were trading basket even since with no more threat from Kazakhstan, and Singapore claimed the 24 pts victory over Kazakhstan.

Lim Beng Han come off the bench to led Singapore with 16 points. Ang Han Yao has 13pts 10boards and 2blks. Two best defensive players of the night, Pang Jun Wai has 10pts to goes with 2stls, while IP-Man has 7 assists and 4 steals.

With the victory, Singapore is confirmed to climb higher on Consolation Tournament standing, and will head to Consalation playoff with HCA. Their opponent should be known right after tomorrow standing update.
